Anyone know what size speaker can be put into the doors of a 328 using the factory cut outs (diameter and depth)? Also, can the tweeters on top of the dashboard be replaced so that they retain their stock appearance? I am looking at installing an Eclipse stereo (model 56050) that has a 6 CD changer and FM/AM stereo in a single DIN head unit (which mounts on the dash), and has a separate controller unit and amplifier both of which must be installed elsewhere in the car (these can be hidden). Any suggestions on where to hide these units?
How big of an event is it to install all of this yourself, or is it best left to a professional (assuming one can find someone who knows what they are doing). |
