John--That's great news. Assuming your weather has been like ours, then you haven't missed too much quality driving time. Hope you guys have a great time on your Twin Cities Tour. Let us know if you're going to make another try at coming to Chicago. Now, please go outside and take a proper picture of that car of yours...Take care.

Thank you for the info, John. No, I'm not from the cities. Do have family there, though. Was just curious of available dealer/service in the area and appreciate your feedback.

I'm sure John's picture is from July of last year-- I don't think the snow disappears until about August in MN. :-)

(I lived in Fairmont,MN at one time)

Magoo - hahahaha I was thinking about it...hell whats another $3k I mean all us Ferrari owners are millionaries!

James - Dont worry she wasnt going for a drive in the snow i just had to back her out to take some pictures to post on this board. Its actually a funny story cause I backed it out and then it was sitting out while I took the pictures, got back in it and obviously the Italian didnt like the snow and decided not to start...of course I pushed it back into the garage, two hours later inside my heated garage she fired right up.

Tenney - Are you from the cities man? I get my car serviced at GT-Cars Jeff is my mechanic there is is just a plain AWESOME guy...their shop rate is reasonable to at $79/hr. They always have a varity of F-cars in the shop along with some Lambos and lots of British cars, over all it is a really cool place! If you want more info let me know an I will be glad to provide a detailed account of their pluses and minuses.

Hey John, Now that you have a new clutch installed maybe you should do a burn out as one of our other posts suggests. Then post the results. Just kidding but I couldn't resist. Regards,

Curious 'sotans. Is there an authorized dealership in (or near) the Twin Cities area? If not (or so), where is the best local spot for F-Car service? Thanks.

Patrick - I know where Oakdale is at...I think there are actually a few members of our little Twin Cities Ferrari group live there. Not positive but I think so...if you are thinking of buying one of these cars and get the go ahead from the CFO (I like that term!!), you are in for the time of your life they are so SO much fun to drive. Fire me off an email so that I have your address and what not and when we go about planning our get together I will get in touch with you and we can hook up...like I said I would love to have you ride along with me.

Eric - You are a hundred percent right! I never thought it would make thta big of a difference but BOY was I ever wrong!!

John I live in Oakdale (suburb of St Paul). Please do let me know when there is a get together or a spring drive. I would love to even be able to get a close up look at some ferraris and talk with some of you guys in person. For some reason I never seem to catch any Ferraris on the roads up here in the cities. I have only seen 2 in the past 2 years (355 & 360). I'm just waiting for the right time to be able to purchase one of these fine cars or when the wife(CFO)gives the ok.

That's great news John -- glad to hear you're "back on the road" again.

I second your statement about the car alignment -- it is money well spent and makes a world of difference in the handling (how can you tell I just had mine done? )

Patrick where are you at in the Cities?? I am actually in Rochester just a little south but there are tons of guy up there that love F-cars!! Lee Sanders is coordinating a lot of get togethers over the summer and if you would like to join in I would be more than happy to let you ride along with me. Pretty soon there is going to be a spring drive with us...There are a lot of awesome cars that are going along...Lee's 512BB, a couple of TR's, 308's, 328's, there are a few 355's in the area that are going along with a 365 GTB/4 and a 275GTB/4. So it should be tons of fun!! I am more than happy to help you find a car or even just get together and hangout and BS about cars! Good to hear from a fellow Minnesotan :0)

Just wanted to post a happy little note because my 348 is finally back in my garage!! After 2 months of going though the 30K and dropping over eight grand on the car, then on having the clutch go on the drive home after the 30K and spending another 2 weeks in the shop and two grand on the clutch my baby was sucessful and happily driven home yesterday. Boy what a difference a new clutch makes...I got in the car after installing it at the shop put her in gear and BAM stalled it!! I did it twice on the way home, but I also took her up to 140 on the speedo out by a friends farm on a nice straight 4 mile strech here in good ol' Minnesota! Even with the cats off now she still is quiet around town and really doesnt sing till you hit 6000RPMs or more! The following are the best things I think you can do for your car because they made mine feel like it is brand new!!

1.) Get the car alined!! It makes all the difference in the world...I never knew it would make the car feel that much lighter and quick.

2.) K&N air filter...really makes the intake sound beautiful and quickens throttle responce.

This way you can leave your car stock basically and still have it perform like brand new! Anyway those are my suggestions after everything else I have done to the car these were the best improvements and they cost me the least!! Thanks to everyone on the board that answered questions and helped me out along the way! I am very thankful! Take care all and if you are in Minnesota or Iowa this weekend and see a red 348 you wave cause it might be me!!! :0)
