Lou,
I have a 360 coupe with an SR-1 install...It's my favorite radar (had the valentine) I wanted a no expense spared install, and it turned out beautifully.....I'm not sure if you have the same center light in the spyder, but basically what I did was had the clock removed (it just pops out) the hole was then extended and bevelled so that it maintained EXACTLY the same profile as the original clock only longer....I then had the hole center unit (which is made of awful cheap plastic....about the only cheap plastic piece in the car)covered in soft touch rubber (exactly the same material and finish as the F1 paddles).....The great thing with the install is that there is already power in the dome light (used the plug that the clock went into)......Finally, I purchased a whole new center dome....that way if I sold the car it would take about 10 minutes to return the interior back to stock. FYI, both center dome lights still operate normally.

The other part of the unit is vertically mounted in the left air intake (I have the front challenge grills)....it is slightly recessed so that it is completely invisible....(I also have laser diffusers mounted horizontally in the air dams....again it is impossible to see them.....This does not restrict airflow into the intakes. It looks great.......I'll try and post a couple of pics if you want......The most expensive part of the install was the soft touch rubber application to the centre light (about $400)...it was worth every penny though....it looks sensational.....The whole system, radar and Laser work great....we have plenty of speed cameras in the UK, and the system picks them up...I have been hit with speed laser twice, and both times the laser activation alarm has operated(tells you that your laser diffusers have been activated)
