Since the cars dont actually own the cars, if they are anything like me they would go through tires and clutches (and probably transmissions) in a matter of days. I cant imagine redline clutch dumps in the diablo are healthy for it, In a motortrend (or possibly C&D) i read that after 3 incorrectly done clutch dumps where there is no tire spin, the clutch is fried, and it costs 9k to get a new one, ouch. |

I like the clause about "Hey, when we go bankrupt, you get to keep the car you are in NOW!" Shoot, I'd make sure to keep the F50 at my side and wait for the inevitable. |

I looked into this with P1 international (http://www.p1international.com/), Damon Hill is chairman and it is based in the UK. It was about 50K to join and 25k per year and you got 6 weeks in a variety of cars. It was an interesting concept to get into a bunch of different cars...alas, pickup and return were in London. They were looking at startin something in the US, I talked a bit about trying to do something with them but it never went anywhere. - JMG |

"And, if the club doesn't have the car you want when you call, we'll go buy one for you!" No asterisks? No disclaimers? I wonder what would happen if I joined and told them I wanted to drive a McLaren F1.. |

There are several of these clubs in the UK. I remember seeing an article in one of the UK car magazines and apparently these type clubs are fairly successful. |

The whole thing just seems sketchy. If you have enough for this club, do you really care about depreciation. When was the last time someone complained that their Bentley depreciated too quickly? It just seems like you'd constantly be driving your friends car and could never enjoy it. Or if you didn't look at things like that, you'd be the type to hit 7000rpms in the Diablo 3 seconds after starting it. |

interesting concept. did anyone else notice the Diablo on ebay - you bid to rent the car for 5 days - a specified 5 days and specified driving range (LA/Orange Co./Vegas area). Still, would be fun to take up to Angeles Crest. =) |

how woult these cars be insured? Also, everyone would abuse these cars alot too. I love the part about how you can drive any car u want and not lose money buying and selling cars. Instead u can just give them a ----load of money. |

Pretty cool idea. I'd hate to buy a car from an establishment like this though. Its like buying a New York taxi. |

Have any of you seen this? http://www.ec-cc.com/index.cfm. Anyone with a spare 300k to give to this club? Interesting concept, like to see if it works |
