Likely it was from grazing a speed bump or even a driveway where it meets the street. Mine scrapes routinely in these situations. Total cost to replace & repaint the entire one-piece front end cap at a dealer is around $3500. However, a good body shop should be able to epoxy the pieces together, AS LONG AS THEY WILL GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SMOOTH SURFACE WHEN PUT TOGETHER. This is very important; if there is any piece missing, it will be hard to match up, and will look like merde. My guess is that a good repair should be around $500.

I just went out to my 550 this evening and noticed that somehow, the black fibre-glass molding below the body-colour bumper has been smashed in about 3 places.

I have no idea how this happened, but my priority now is to get it fixed.

Has anybody had any experience of such a repair and how much it cost?

Thanks

LWR
