Spy photos, that's great. Reminds me of the guys sitting on the fences trying to get shots of Fiorano, FX, etc. Nice work out in the field Lung.

If you are Tifoso you must see it. www.fila.com there's a cool shoe there.
Fila just made it after taking the merchandise license from Tommy Hilfiger. Red/Black with Scuderia Ferrari emblems on the side.
If you visit the site also check Pininfarina's shoe.

Are these shoes under warranty by Ferrari? Be careful.

Ed, I love it. You got my vote on that one. You covered all the bases. What are they trying to do make the Ferrari a "Pimp" mobile?

Can you wear these in the rain or will they self-destruct in water ?

I've seen the shoes at the dealerships. I haven't seen the black ones, but have seen tan. They were $195 as I recall.

And new soles are required every 5 months or 15 miles at a cost of $3500... whether worn or not. Failure to do so could destroy your Gucci socks.

There are probably plenty of them out there, covered up in some shoe tree. Unused because they might get a scratch or accumulate excess wear and depreciate. Strings are probably hard to find and overpriced and have an odd sized heel that no one makes anymore. The shoe store probably sells them and then buys them back and inflates the price. I hear that you can get some Grey Market ones through some Miami Importer but there could be some legal issues if you turn your ankle while wearing them. I also hear that you should not wear them in the rain and don't attempt to out accelerate a Nike as these shoes could quickly burn out some expensive soles. I hear they are sluggish when cold and only certain size people can fit in them comfortably. I also think there should be a certain wave that we give other Ferrari shoe wearers so that we don't appear too cocky or stuck up. We could also have track days and Concours for daily wearers and a seperate class for shoes that are boxed in, Etc, Etc, I could go on and on.

where do you have to service them?
how much are shoe laces?
do you need to polish and wax them on 3 months intervals with your cars?

...Neiman Marcus at Bal Harbour Shops had them. Somebody told me about them and I thought it was a joke. :)

Those things are uglier than hell. I don't think Michael drove for Ferrari in 1996 did he?

If you break a shoe string will the tongue hit the sole and bend the heel?

Well.... unfortunately I got them when I was in London over the weekend. But you might try Neiman Marcus. Sorry that you can't get a Ladies version, if they had any marketing sense they would realize that men aren't the ones that own a 100 pairs of shoes. Tom

For those of you who enjoy wearing great shoes and are always looking for interesting Ferrari memorabilia here's a tip. The great Italian shoemaker, TOD'S, has teamed up with Ferrari and came out with a limited edition men's loafer. Black with small red stitching and a small and tasteful emboss of the prancing horse on the tongue. Best part......comes in a great Ferrari red box and shoe bag with the Ferrari logo on it. Will be a perfect shoe to drive with in the summer. Just thought I would pass it along. Tom
