Wow - finally getting caught up at work and have a chance to check in on Ferrari Chat regarding the event. Chris, Dana, and Stephen - thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality! Also enjoyed meeting Tim and Nika. I happened to walk by a black 512 TR and overheard the driver talking about Argentina and was sure that had to be William - wanted to introduce myself and say hi, but you were in the middle of a group conversation and I didn't see you again later on. Glad to hear you had a great time, and I KNOW Chris did. Chris, I'll transfer the footage I shot to VHS and mail you a copy (even though I could barely keep up with you on the track). Just e-mail me where you would like it sent at [email protected]. It's pretty amatuer stuff, but I think you'll enjoy it. If I would have known it would be such a great day, I would have brought my cameraman out with me to shoot some real footage! Thanks again - it was a great time and a wonderful experience. I was so inspired it made the drive home to LA a lot of fun (got to really push those new sway bars!) Best, ~Chris |

Nika, I did the track on Friday which was great, we had 4 long track sessions as there were only 2 groups, Saturday really sucked for track time, Think I got 20 minutes all day long. SUnday was awesome though Most people left so there were only 3 groups with almost 30 minutes each session & I got 4 sessions + giving the flaggers rides at the end. Chris I saw a 360 CHallenge but not too often. Getting new brakes on the 512TR , FInally!!!!! by Brembo so I will have Whoah as well as go Martin, sounds like a fun project, what r u doing this weekend? I will be in Miami on Friday entertaining 2 Frauleins |

Guess you can't run any image past 640x480 (to have them run longer down the page). I broke it into 3 pictures. Hope this works...

Here are some photos that I promised. And, sorry Nika, I didn't mean to upset you or Eddie. It was just the end of a very long day...

Driving the Pacific Coast Highway I caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a 355 - but "stink-bug" as it's called....front end lowered, back end higher.......the whine was distinctively a GM 6 cyl. YUCK! That was my vote for ugliest *Ferrari* at this event.....but the white 308 with it's back painted black wasn't my favorite...even though it's a real one. That car also had the weirdest side mirrors. Otherwise there were such beautiful cars I had to use all my strength to keep from drooling. I heard track time was limited |

William, the fast guy was in the 360 Challenge car. I would gain on him (as I am sure you did) on the straights, but he could brake so late he was killing me. Excellent driver... I never talked to him (her?), but it was fun watching them run.. Chris |

William, if you do not make it up here we will possibly make it up to NYC and CT for some relax days. That new house is driving me insane. We took a faux ceiling out and underneith was a nice drywall ceiling but butchered up by idiots that installed AC vents. So I decided to rip down the whole ceiling and start from scratch. Next think you know, I am looking at a structural beam holding up the roof that has been half way eaten by termites and the other half was in the process of being eaten by carpenter ants, where a roof leak was patched for 2 years by the previous owner, instead of fixing it. Now since one week I have a crew in there to put a steel beam in to hold the roof. Let the darn termites take a bite out of that This story and many others have exhausted me totally. We own a huge house now but live only on 400sq ft in the master bedroom. It is pathetic but my cat needed to be back with us. "Krümel" has not seen much of the hosue yet. He is hiding behind the toilet since a week and comes out only at night. I guess he hates construction as much as I do by now.

Now back to the racerchicks.com version of events. Don and Jim from Ferrari North America were wonderful! I enjoyed talking with them at the Petersen event and at the track The valet, even after asked if the car could be self parked ...broke the seat lever right off and some how fouled a plug. My fancy digital camera had disc errors so the laser reader is toast......hmmmmmmmm - not the best way to start the day. But making the best of the situation - I still had a chance to see some great cars and drive along the California coast. Oh yes..and the shopping...(sigh) Just wait until THAT Visa bill comes! Great event but I'm sure Florida next year will be better |

William, we are wondering here where the **** you are. Marion was asking me just a few days ago, where is William? Now I can tell here. He is hanging with the Hollywood crowd. Hope you had a good time. As far as driving, yes, he is a great driver. Had the pleasure of riding with him a few months back. Hard on the car, great on your grin !!! Ghee, I missed Nika last weekend, and now this weekend all you other guys. Sebring for sure!

William did a great job on Saturday, and yes he passed me like I was standing still (kinda, lol). The F40 and the the TR have one thing in common, NO BRAKES! William was killing me in in the corners, (I was on street tires in the first session, he may have been on slicks, although I doubt it mattered, he seemed like a very good driver), I just could not get it slowed down, so I ended up braking very early. The 2nd session I was on slicks, I used the brakes differently, so I never saw William, (except in the pits, he is very nice, wish I could have spent more time with him). I got a lot more speed, but I still used up the brakes, I met with BREMBO and new brakes are ordered. Great time, pictures will be posted soon. Thanks to everybody that came bye! Chris |

Of course William, we'll not be lining them up by model, but by color to make the pride rainbow! (only kidding!!)...It is planned to be at Sears point which is under going $50mil renovation project, that's alot of $$$$ for a track remodel. Glad to hear everyone had a great time, sorry I missed it. -Ben

I'm at LAX just about to board my flight back to NYC then CT. My 512TR performed beautifully, We gobbled up the F50GT1 & 2 F40s She might have some indegestion after such a healthy meal I was at the track Fri, Sat, Sun, I'm not a Concours or rally kind of guy. Got my times down from 2:18 on Friday down to 2:02 by Sunday. I think only the dark blue 355 Challenge in Red group was faster than me, The Speedway is a fun track, I heard next year the annual meet will b held in Sebring Fla, then 2004 in SF, CA I guess we will b lining our cars up for a Concours on the Castro saluting Gay Pride LOL. I dropped the 512TR off with Tillack & they r going to get Brembo who is right next door to measure her so I can get some serious brakes by July. |

Just arrived home also. Had the best time! Drove the Mondial t Coupe 325 miles to Century City wednesday. Thursday the car was judged at the Concours scored 95+ for a Platinum. Friday Rallied to Paramount Studio Ranch. Great Canyon and Coastal roads. Saturday and Sunday was Track time in the Yellow group. Spent a lot of time with the throttle to the floor. Got in some good dicing with 308's,328's and 348's. I had the 2+2 on the edge to play with the others. The Banked oval sections were awsome! I managed to keep it on the track and together to get me back home. Just got in from the 375 mile drive back from Fontana. I'm so proud of the car for performing so well after spending so much time in the 7000 RPM range on the track then getting me back home with no problems. I'M HOOKED ! GO FERRARI! I wish I had introduced myself to Chris, Nika and Steve. Time just went so fast, before I knew it, it was Sunday and time to pack up. |

It was a lot of fun. I spent a lot of time cruising the coast and just having fun in the car. I was behind you in the rally (red 355 Spider). Too bad the silver 355 in front of you wouldn't move out of your way, I could tell Chris wanted to open it up. At Peterson's, we sat at the table next to Phil Hill, Gurney and Shelby. Those guys were funny. What a great time. Nick |

Just got back home from Los Angeles and the FCA convention. I'll post some photos tomorrow, but here are some highlights: 1. Great event, well organized and planned. 2. Secured parking with a guard at the hotel. 3. Wonderful concours, right in front of the hotel with over 140 Ferraris. The featured mark was racing Ferraris of the 50's. 4. Ralley along the California coast (I rode with Chris Parr in the F40 ). 5. Petersen museum dinner with Phil Hill, Dan Gurney and Carol Shelby. Too crowded!!! 6. California Speedway track event. Chris Parr went head to head with an F50GT1! Chris and Tim Gendreau both had their F40's out. 7. Meet alot of FC folks. Nika came by and showed us her custom helmet signed by Eddie Ervin. All in all, a great week. I will definately get some photos up tomorrow. Chris and Dana Parr will be back late Monday. Thanks to everyone who came up to the race trailer and said "hi". Steve
