If you guys are as lucky as I am when you get my age, consider yourself lucky. Cars have been my life and diversion since I was l4. Ferrari is an excitment and a new experience each time you get behind the wheel. Stay Ferrari, Stay Young. MAGOO

I read it fast and then I realized it afterwards, I figured if I was really quiet no one would notice, damn. I don't have any kids and I'm the youngest in my family. I too live at home, but I go to highschool still. The Sopranos is a great show. All those scenes are from right around me (I know where all those shots the opening credits are, and where the house is, I've been to the Bada Bing club which is really called Satin Dolls, I've eaten at Pizza Land, it's weird seeing all those places on TV).

Peter, their advice about not getting married & keeping the Ferrari sounds VERY wise, I would follow it. Ive got my toys & no way I am EVER getting married again.
I tell my 20 something girlfriends, "I'll take u wherever u want & buy u all sorts of goodies as long as you behave " :)
The alternative is "My way or the Highway"
Thats the way it HAS to be

Purchased my 348 for my 28th birthday, last August. It's also been a life long dream for me. I grew up in Italy, so I think it's part of my genetics! My wife and I have been busting our butts doing computer consulting work for the past 6 years. For me, all the hard work has finally paid off. First baby is on the way. Expected delivery date is July 20, 01. Can't wait to be a daddy now and drive my little one around in the Ferrari. My last car was a 93 RX7 TwinTurbo...that was a lot of fun as well.

I'm 36 and got my 308 when I was 34. I am married (she doesn't like it when I introduce her as my 'first wife') and I have a 6-year old daughter.

I have had a 911, Mercedes 380SL and a Supra Turbo. I love my Ferrari more than anything I have ever had and I believe I will probably stick with Ferrari for the rest of my life.

Like you Rob I have loved Ferrari since I was a kid. My first (Ferrari) memory is seeing a color drawing of what the 288 GTO was going to look like. It had been drawn in yellow. I was mesmorized, and later vowed to have a Ferrari before I was 30. Mine has also exceeded my expectations, including maintenance cost!!

Single, no kids, business owner.

28 now, 27 when I got my 360 about six months ago. My first Ferrari, although I have had access to Ferraris almost all my life through other family members - F355, 348, 328, 308, 512TR, Testarossa, Mondial, Dino. So I always loved them. Used to be a Lambo man when I was younger, but grew out of it, although I would love to buy a Miura someday (and a 512BBi)...

No wife, no kids, no debts, no nothing. Just my 360M and Sopranos on HBO...

I got my 328 late last year. No children... Own my own business. I made an agreement with my wife that if I could get the Ferrari, she could get a cat. She got her second cat last month. Hmmmmmm, maybe I'm due for another too....

Sorry Steve,

I'm 33. I have owned alot of cars since 18 among them 2 porsche 930(911 turbos), SL500, NSX etc but never got a chance to buy a FERRARI until recently. A friend needed help so I bought his '89 328GTS about ten months ago. He may want it back ..... but I don't think so. I am hooked currently looking at a 355 :-)

Single and I live at home! Only way I could afford it! If you saw 60 Minutes this past Sunday, they had a report on Italy and how men are still living at home. They're called "Mammino's" (sp?), here's one right here!

Every guy at work has kids and divorced, they keep telling me don't get married and keep the Ferrari forever.

1)32 2)32 married 4 years, 1 nine year old daughter. Before I got my 308 I had a 91 mr2turbo.
My daughter liked it alot. When I told her I was
selling it to get a ferrari she said she wanted to
keep the mr2. She didn't know what a Ferrari was.
I took her with me to test drive one and it didn't
take long for her to say "Dad I think I chaged my
mind, I like the Ferrari better" Some how I knew
she would come around.

She puts up with me and my (I mean our) Ferrari, so I give her full credit. She makes great Tiramasu (sp?), so I give her extra credit. No kids, that comes after the V12. Come on, you have to have priorities.

So Bret, it looks like you have it all figured out. You bought your first Ferrari at age 18, and now you are 17. How do you do it?

The other ownership question that would be interesting is how many are married, and how many have kids still at home? (Bret, if you have kids at home, I don't want to know about it!) I know that my brother had five nice motorcycles, then he got married and has two nice kids and no motorcycles.

As for me, one wife, no kids, one Ferrari...

My goal since seeing my first Ferrari at 12 years old was to have one by 30. I wasn't even a big car person, but I read every book and magazine I could. I had such high expectations and my first has even exceeded whatever high expectations I had.

Awang -- is there some reason you didn't answer your own question?

How about expanding it to 2 questions: 1) current age and 2) F Ownership age(s)? (try the "edit" function to update your previous messages -- it worked for me recently)

For me: 1) 44 and 2) 30-44

(and, hopefully, the upper end of #2 will always be the same as #1 for me!)
