The trip was a success! Houston to Twin Falls - total 2117.8 miles, 135.74 gallons, overall average 15.6MPG on a carbed 77 308 gt4. Highest of 17.158 MPG in Colorado. I ran the A/C the whole way! It was decided I needed to stay in SLC so I drove nonstop from Dallas to SLC. Left Rob's at ~8:30am CST Thursday, arrived SLC 3:30am MST Friday. Total 20 hours. Milage 1491...average 74.55MPH, and yes I did stop for lunch, dinner, gas, oil, batteries, miscellanious detours totaling about 2+ hours. Not one mechanical problem the entire trip. It will take a bit to remove the million or so bugs which so thougtfully attached themselves to my front end. I found the music to be perfect with a nice set of gel earplugs- it removes the wind noise. Good luck to others who tackle an endeavor such as this... I would and will do it again!
Ciao
Erik
Thanks again Rob, Jeremy, Jim, Greg for making the stay along the way so comfortable.

Why would anyone want to go to Twin Falls?

Sorry, my ex-wife is there and do not have pleasant memories of the place.

Hey folks, I am in Dallas for 1 extra day, then off to Denver... are there any Denver people meeting up Thursday night- or any that would like to?
Rob is a great host and twisted my arm enough to stay an extra day in Dallas!
Jim, email me a phone number so we can hook up. I am off to Norwoods and FOD and exoticcarworld.com
Ciao

I will probably have eaten by then, but will try to come have a beer. It would be nice to see the GT4, I have good early memories of those cars.

Keep me posted on your plans, I'll try to get out. Best for me would be happy hour or something later, maybe 9:00pm.

Dallas is the "home" of Ferrarichat, since it's where Rob lives. Depending on when you get here, we're usually all game for a meeting of like minds and cars. What time do you plan to hit town?

I'd love to visit with anyone along the way, I plan on going through Dallas, Denver, Ogden. I am flying to Houston Sunday June 2nd, then driving to Dallas the 4th, Denver the 5th? and Twin Falls, Idaho the 6th? or 7th. May need a room in Houston and Denver...
Thanks
Erik
