Chris,

You are right, it ain't cheap. I was running out of choice and IM quoted me $19K for the same insurance. I would try Ivy when my current one runs out.

Try QBE Hong Kong & Shanghai Insurance Ltd.
and contact Ms. Judy Wong at 2877-8488. I am sure it is well below $14k for the 3rd party insurance for a Mondial!!

I paid less than $3k for insuring my Maserati.

Anyone looking for insurance in HK should try Ivy Ng (2771-3355) at Vantage Insurance. 3rd party for ferrari should cost about $9,500.HKD before NCB discount. They broker for Trinity Insurance which appears to be one of the only insurers in town willing to write super sportscar, you can forget about AIA or Liberty Mutual. There is a difference in which broker you choose, when I first got quote for my NSX I was told $11,500.HKD, however Ivy quoted me $9500.HKD for the same policy with the same insurer, Trinity. And after 9/11, Trinity will not provide comprehensive for any F-car below a 355, I think the cutoff year is 96.

Peter, 14k sounds quite pricey.

I am surprised you can get full insurance at all. None of my existing insurers for the other 2 cars would insure my Mondial. Finally got a referral from the club. You can try Ronald Wan (94018184) of Sincere Insurance Services. He may be able to help you.

I know there are a few Hong Kongers on the discussion board. Can any one suggest insurance brokers and provide price information.
Lowest price I've received is 40k (thats US$5k) fully comp for a 355, but I only just started looking today.
