Frank

FOA has a nice BBI right now, unfortualtly they are a little nuts with the pricing. It is a red tan 84 with great cosmetics. It has 9,000 kms on it so it is no 500 mile museum piece but they want mid to low 90s before any service to which they have no records. The guy told me it would be a good deal in the low 90s and put 10k in service - good deal for who? I think the service will run closer to 15k. I think a reasonable price is in the mid 70s to mid 80s with the service included - they have not responded - oh well. You have good contacts there so maybe you will have more luck. it is a nice car

My two cents.
I was doing muscle cars for the last 20 years. Gas is and will be a problem. Not the quantiy but the quality. I was looking at a Daytona and a 512bb but opted for a 348. I think fuel injection is the better choice. Fuel just doesn't have the higher level aromatics that it did when these carb cars were designed. You need high fuel pressures to push them into the cylinders.

Frank, I'd like to buy your bypass pipes if you decide to sell the car without them. Email me @ [email protected] if you are interested. Thanks - David

Funny how things go in and out of style. Boxers have caught my attention again also. There are several for sale at the moment.

I've also always been a big Boxer fan. Consensus seems the carb cars are the strongest. Although have been told that the '83-'84 fi cars were more sorted and ran cooler. Did you consider a 365 GTC? Would offer a bit more motor than your 330 and is a fairly rare car. Prefer the fender detail on 330, though.

I've been thinking about this more and more lately, and I've decided the boxer is my all time favorite Ferrari. I had dreamed of a Dino but I think the boxer is a far better car all around. How can you go wrong; low production, great timeless looks, plenty of HP and TQ, and currently great prices. I now lust for a 512BB; I can only image what the 6 Webbers sound like with a foot into the floor on that car. My biggest fear is that by the time I have funds for it, others will have caught on and it will be unreachable for me.

While I love my car I miss the sound of the Webers oy my old 330GTC. I am considering selling or trading for a carburated car. What do you guys think of my idea.
