According to this week's _Autoweek_, the FX/F60/Enzo will, most likely, not be leased.

Funny though, how Prestige, has all the NOT YET RELEASED specs and performace figures. Oh yea, and a cut-away diagram of an F50, too!

That F60 looks horrible and don't look like a car that should have a Ferrari badge on it and for 3 million I don't even think Bill Gates would go for it for it is a rip off. I don't think there will be any more new Ferrari cars for me in the future except for the older models. I feel it's too much money for something that has a much less appeal than the prior models before it. Don't care how much faster it is either since it would probably never be driven to it's full capacity. I'd feel more comfortable driving something that is more expendable than driving something that is more than a million dollars. In my own opinion no car for the road is worth that much to go through abuse on public roads unless you have a money tree. I'd stick with Tim's comment on some of the choices of cars rather preferred.

So, why doesn't somebody call them and ask them if they can see the car, when is delivery expected, color choices, who do you make the check out to, what are the guarantees for delivery, why doesn't it violate ferrari spa policy on speculation, will the car be homologated for the U.S., etc.

A 250GTO would be just a tad bit more than 3 mil.

The Mclaren F1 sold for 1 Million dollars.. I thought that was an obseen price for a new car.
3 Million Dollars will never happen.. Not even Ferrari can pull that off.

A 250 GTO or P4 is alittle more logical.

Like Jack, I'm struggling to find owt to like about the FX (F60 or whatever you want to call it) shape, I'd much rather an F50, or at lower end a 360 Spider anyday.

If that's what a wind tunnel does for the lines of a car you can keep it. But then I suppose for other reasons (stealth requirements) a similar ugliness started to appear in modern military aircraft and is likely to happen with ships too....oh well...thats progress, or so we are all led to believe.

As for Prestige, seems they are just a bunch of tossers, to be treated them with the contempt they deserve.

Don't fall for this marketing scam. At FCALA the head of Ferrari North America announced that the final production run had not been determined yet, but would be less that the F50 (about 350). Also, the car would sell for between $600K-$650K. The name will not be revealed until the last minute. Of course, I'm sure Ferrari will do the factory 2 yr leese (just like with the F50). I'm also sure that only their very best and most loyal customers will be offered the opportunity to purchase one.

Next week, Prestige will be auctioning off the Brooklyn Bridge.

What's the deal? Ferrari and Ferrari dealers don't want people buying cars like the Spyder the Barchetta and F50 simply to turn around and make money on, so they do leases and make you sign an agreement that you won't sell it for a profit (so I have heard). So what's this? Why aren't the dealers held to selling the cars just at MSRP? This is exactly what the factory doesn't want the buying public to do.

What's the matter? Sultan of Brunei not answering his phone? I'm sure I'm alone here, but I'm having a real hard time falling in love with this car. It just doesn't seem to flow like a Ferrari should.

Also Ferrari is trying to avoid this from happening by only leasing them. I dont believe them. Ferrari doesnt want speculators to run the prices up like they did with the F40's when they were going for a million dollars. Thats why you could only lease an F50.

Probably just a way to get people to call.

"The F60? Oh, we've already taken a deposit on that. But we have this 550 Barchetta for sale, or perhaps a 360 spyder..."

Why would Ferrari allow 1 car to be sold in the US instead of leased? Even if they did, why would they give it to Prestige? They aren't even an authorized dealer are they? Sounds like another ebay F40 to me!

How is this possible? I find it very hard to believe this at all. I betcha he does not even have the car, its just a publicity campaign.

What the are they thinking?! Actually, thats probably a good idea. Someone who has 3mill burning a hole in their pocket might want to pick it up. Its their $ and if they want to spend it that way i hope they enjoy the car. I guess its because prestige imports as something someone wants, so they can charge that much.
I personally would pick up an F50, a street F40, a F40 LM, an F355GTS, 360 spider, 360 coupe, 512tr, 308GTS, Murcielago, Esprit V8TT, M5, and still have $ left over for servicing and a down payment on a new house.
