Taso, love the car. I am getting seriously desperate now to finish putting mine together to start driving it again (30K major in progress). As far as wheels, keep the originals, but buy aftermarkets if you so desire. I love mine. They make the car look so aggressive and powerful. The stocks rims are a bit soft from the looks point of view, IMHO. Plus, I am running wider tires which improves handling substantially. Keep the originals for resale value, shows, etc. My 0.02 cents.

Congratulations and good luck. Your car is absolutely gorgeous. I have put aftermarket rims on mine. I tried to keep it within Ferrari design (five spoke). I went with Fikse 3 piece 18 inch. They are the best improvement I ever did on this car. Not only does it handle better it also lightened up the steering since they are about 10 lbs lighter than stock rims.
Here is a picture (not very clear but is the only one I have under 170 kb- so I am sorry about that)

Welcome Taso,
Your TR is beautiful.. I don't know the websites, but if your looking for some aftermarket wheels for your car, look at OZ, HRE, & Speedline.

If you do get the new rims don't forget to post some before and after pics.....

Steve,
as a dealer I would discount the aftermarket rims on almost any car. This is why if you do this, you should keep the original set as well. I just sold my 4 TR rims that I had left over, same as on this car. Always keep them.

I think the pininfarina styling of the car is always complemented by the rims the car wears. They just belong to each other.

I kind of got used to Paul's 360 rims on his 308. Especially now with all the mods he did, the car looks great with those on, still if I would buy the car, I like to see the original set as well. Rather pay $1000 more and get the originals as well.

I'm sort of with Martin on this one -- I prefer F wheel upgrades, if done, to be in the same family (e.g., 308QV wheels on a carbed 308, 512TR or 512M wheels on a TR, 355 wheels on a 308, etc.). I'd give a small premium for an F in-family upgrade, but aftermarket wheels are, at best, a wash for me (say decent looking 16" aftermarkets replacing stock 14" on an older 308). I'd love to hear some candid comments from the sellers/brokers on how wheel changes affect a car's value/sell-ability.

If you want something similiar to the 18 inch 512 TR rim, go with the Speedline Magnesium (1908R) wheel. They look very close to the stock 512TR wheel and they fit right on. If you go with the actual stock rim, you will need spacers in order to fit correctly, which is not recommended. http://www.speedlinewheels-usa.com/default2.htm

Very nice and clean car.
Keep the stock rims though. Makes the car look better than aftermarket, just my opinion.

Taso, Congratulations, she's a beauty.
http://www.koenig-specials.com/ferrari/ferrari-testarossa84-92.html has 3 examples of TR wheels.

I, too, was considering new wheels, but have decided to keep my stock ones (especially now that I just got new tires).
Please post some pics if you do get new ones. I'm still sort of intersted and might be persuaded with a little peer pressure...

Here are a couple of pics a my 90 TR I recently purchased. Anybody have aftermarket wheels on their TR? Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks, TasoTestarossaTestarossarearTestarossafront
