Yeah, i am still thinking the 288 ranks as one of my favorite ferraris..i havent seen it around in a while though, the owner drives his 550 Barchetta too often, i dont think he drives the 288 as much

Andrew, I have a Tubi comp and comp chips. K&N filters. I am looking into bigger Turbo's.

I have a friend with a "hot rod" F40 with over 800HP at the rear wheels!

I get to drive it at Heartland Park Raceway in July... yee haw!

I love the front hood on the this threads F40, $15,000? no, but $5,000 maybe! Chris

I think so Chris . i guess that Ferrari sent the chassis to Padova where Michelotto did his magic.
This car looks nice . The front is very aggressive .
Have you done some engine modifications on yours?

I do not know this car, but the body work is avaialable from Speedline. The front hood is about $15,000.00 The Carbon fiber rear spoiler is about $6,500.00

I do not recognize the bottom spoiler on the front, normally an LM or Michelotto spec would have a flat carbon fiber front spolier with adjustable turn buckles.

A Michelotto spec engine cover was for sale on e-bay last year for about $8,000.00

I am still learning about F40's so I am not much help, but this is a cool car.

(I do not believe any F40's left the factory in this configuration, all were converted(?), I suspect it may have been ORDERED through the factory, anyone know the answer?)

If this is the car I think it is, I know this car and have met it's owner. I doubt it's for sale. The owner loves it and would have no reason (ever) to sell it.

If anyone could help you with more specific info, it would be your friend, James, at the dealership. After all, the car is there near you and probably comes with tons of documentation.

it DOES have centerlock hubs...and does have larger turbo/intercoolers. James at FoD said it was factory built...but I am curous about any other info about it. I don't know serial #...so I can't find specifics online anywhere.

Just curious as to it's competition, etc.

If it has centerlock hubs its a LM, whether its a michelotto you would have to ask. I remeber seeing a michelotto at WWoC and it didnt have centerlock hubs, but it might have been a made from a street car.

Looks like a F40LM by Michelotto. Probably with bigger turbos and intercoolers.

Ran into this car at FoD a couple weeks ago...and although I know it was factory built racer...I don't remember anything more. It does have competition history and I know there were few made...but who can tell me more?

F40 LM
