Bottom line is they just dont look right. Fieros arent wide enough and low enough. As someone said before the lines just arent quite right.

I have nothing against the replicas. It's not right when you ask them what kind of a car is that and they say it's a Ferrari. It's not, it's a replica of a Ferrari.
Some people built these cars and put alot of passion into them.
It may not be real, but some of them look damn good..
Does this mean that a chick with a boob job is not what we would play with... Come on now!!!!

Parkerfe,
I take exception to that comment. I may be
( as I understand it, from the input of this site )
the all time greatest Garage Queen owner in recent history. I will happily carry that title with great honor. However I do think that even a ratty old REAL FERRARI beats the crap out of a pretend one any day of the week.

You can add big artificial ears and fake tusks to a donkey, but that still won't make him an elephant. Why do people waste their time and money building those stupid 308 replicars when they could buy the real thing? They might have to settle for a project needing work, but at least they would be putting their effort into the genuine article, not a gaudy replica that looks right at home parked in front of the house trailer. If you're going to build a kit car, build one that isn't a direct copy of anything; at least it stands on its own merit.

There is a replica of an f40 that I have seen around Indy. It is built on a fiero and it looks SO bad.

For the low mileage folks a replica may be a good option as they look almost as good sitting in the garage as the real thing.

The 328, and 355 replicas have an optional Ferrari look interior. I've spent a bit of time looking at replicas (One of my dream cars is a Shelby Daytona replica). I actually think the 355 replica's look really close, but isn't the point of a ferrari its speed and handling? I would prefer to spend the money on something that actually drives well.

Andrew-The 400 chevy was a small block. The 396 was a big block. Go figure. What other useless info do you want.

most replica's are made out of pontiac fiero's, and the replica makers never change the interior format..except for the dials and ferrari steering wheel..but the 400 chevy big block usually gives it away

with all the time and money spent on a replica, it would make sense to me to buy a real one (308/328).

Has anyone ever seen a replica that came close to a real Ferrari? It seems that they spend a lot of money and time working on what the car will look like on the outside but they never seem to get the inside looking anywhere close to a real Ferrari.

Earlier this week I was driving my 308 in town, and went past one of those 355 replicas. The guy in it saluted me! Wonder whether he knew I knew (I was smiling at his car) or whether he thought I'd been fooled?

To the uninitated I would imagine that his car was well enough built to fool, but it sounded S**t, and the lines on a replica Ferrari are never quite right.

Just thought I'd share with you all.
