I just got home from the great weekend at Ault Park. All the activities from the Friday night gathering at Tom Stegmans collection (some fabulous cars!) Saturday tour and garden party, and of course the concours on Sunday were all first rate. I showed my Maserati Merak this year, but was way outclassed by some fantastic cars. The 275 won my class!! Last year I showed my 77 308GTB and won Best of Class. This is a real nice show with a full weekend of activities and parties. Worth taking in if you are in the Midwest. It has been on my "DON'T MISS" list for the last six years. |

I have gone to this show a few times and it's well done. A few years back Ferrari was the feature. There are a few big time Ferrari collectors in the area including the boys at midwest auto group in columbus and the owner of escort radar detectors. |

Both the F40 & F50 had Ohio plates. The XJ220 had Indiana plates, but I think I read somewhere that a person in Indiana converts the XJ220's for US road use(EPA/DOT), I could be wrong though. |

It looks like a great collection: I'm sorry I missed the party- but I did make it to Watkins Glen . That looks like a JagS220: is one really owned in Cincinnati? Also, my wife and I were just talking how we never see any F-cars in Cinci. Obviously we've been looking in the wrong places! A F40 AND F50??? Damn, I'm sorry I decided to leave town this weekend!

This turned out to be a very nice event. There were only 4 Ferraris there though (F50,F40,275 & a Daytona Spyder). Jaguar was the featured marque. Links to pics: http://community.webshots.com/album/40259590MEvsDJ http://community.webshots.com/album/40260791AGgRKz http://www.cincyconcours.com/ The last link is the event link, with pics from previous years. As I was leaving, there was a TVR Griffith in the parking lot, first TVR I've seen on the roads in a long time, especially rare in the US. Ault Park is in Cincinnati,OH. I'll try to post some pics, but it keeps freezing up on me. |
