Had to replace mine at 34k miles, rear brakes take the brunt of the stopping due to weight distribution on these cars per my shop....rotors are vented but not drilled |

Not sure on the specifics of a 308, but I wouldn't be too scared of replaced rear brake pads. Track addicts and spirited drivers like myself go through pads, and the rears... again, not sure on 308's but the rears will usually lack in cooling unless ventilation / ducting is made for them. The engine being in the rear should also have some factoring in the brake pad wear. Also, are the rear rotors of the 308 vented or solid?

Are you referring to brake pads? Or calipers? Or...? |

A question for you 308 owners- I am seeing a lot of 308s' advertised with around 50k miles and ads stating they have new rear brakes. It has been my experience even with high performance cars that rear brakes last close to 100k miles if not more have a lot of you had to change rear brakes? I am aware of the ease of disconnecting speedos so I am always suspicious of mileage.TIA Rob |
