The unnumbered J.Todd car may be still a Ferrari owned car that he (Todd) is driving but will go back to the Ferrari museum eventually.

..just a guess.

Martin, you are indeed right about that. But the five F50s I talked about were probably part of the normal production. I know that one went to Pininfarina and two to the Sultan of Brunei, who also got 4 of the "post-production" F50s.

By the way: all the 550 Barchetta P.F.s are numbered too. And there are also a few cars built prior to "#001/448". Some of them are numbered as prototypes ("P2" is here in The Netherlands), but others are not numbered at all (like the one for Jean Todt, I believe).

..true though, there is usually a prototype or two and then a pre-production run and then they start the official production.

Some small remarks about "the very first F50": #001/349 (serialnumber 103097) was indeed sold new to Jean "Beurlys" Blaton. But prior to this car, there were several other F50s which had no "#xxx/349" numbers. Among these cars are two prototypes, a few "presentation cars" with the same serialnumber (!) and 5 other F50s. So, it is indeed #001/349, but not the very first one ;-)

The same story for #349/349, which indeed isn't the last F50. After this car, 16 other F50s left the factory .....

BTW, Paul Frame's car is #038/349 ....

Grtx, Edvar

Too much i think.. F50 are overpriced in the US !
If this is the Ex Beurlys one with the little yellow line surrounding the car ..then i woud say shame on him..how can he sell this car ?

my guess would be 650 000 $ ( way too much ! )
You can get a F50 for 500 000 Euros.

Dave, of all the @ssholes that have been on/are on this board, you are the biggest. (that says ALOT because there have been some serious ones) There was absolutely no need to bring that up. Personally, im not offended and i say stupid things from time to time, but come on man there was no need. Let it go, its his car so why do you care. (Just like i dont have to listen to ur opinion, you dont have to listen to mine.)

Martin, the suspense is killing me, how much?

There was an F50 for sale in Houston a couple of years back - perfect shape, low miles, and they wanted $650K. I wouldn't think that they have appreciated since that time and tend to think NADA got their prices right for a change.

You guys have just driven the price of F50's up !
For Pete's sake, all the ones sold recently in Europe were in the low $400K. Keep it down so we can all buy one.

Was the F-50 sold to a guy in Houston (for first delivery)? I would guess about 1.2+ million.

The F50 chassis number 1 was for sale at auction through Bonhams at an asking price of Euro 400,000 to 500,000, with a mileage of +/- 11,000 miles. I do not know yet if or for how much it sold. It was originally sold to a 1960/1970 Belgian racer by the assumed name of Beurlys and has a small Belgian flag running around all the sides. Let me know if you want more info.

Texas World Speedway in College Station. Texas Motor Speedway is in Fort Worth where they have NASCAR and IRL racing. They did have a Challenge race there last year.

I believe the first U.S. delivery was to Paul Frame of Houston. I think you guys are right, it was a yellow one. I'd be surprised if car #1 was a U.S. car.
