Paul, glad to hear it, I was worried there for a minute :) Seems we have something in common, I too am restoring a Ferrari that I will race except its a 92 512TR for EMRA
when I was insured through USAA they would allow u to remove the collision insurance if the car was going to be parked for a while. My new insurers do not allow that. Maybe some collector insurance co would be good for u ?

I am a big-time Ferrari driver. I could never relate to the people that bought and just shrink-wrapped. I am restoring a 355 challenge car that has front end damage and it will be out of service for about 4 months, if not more. Even if it was repaired it would not be legal to register for the street. When I am done I will certainly enjoy it at the track.

I just need insurance to cover me for fire or other loss at home or as I trailer it around for repairs. Below are some photos of my Spring project I am having a great time conquering this project.

I had the option of "Winter lay-up" for my car's insurance. Didn't chose it because the cost difference would've been nil and plus the fact that we get some nice days during the winter here on the West Coast. Then what would I do? At the time, it would only be insured for storage not use, so then there's the hassle of getting it changed over...

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will insure a Ferrari that is not planned to be driven? I heard that there are companies that will provide a 'garage-keeper' policy that will cover a collectible for loss and transport, but not for collision and liability. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
