My Corvette buddies tell me they have a national "Drive your Vette to work day." Maybe we should have a national "Drive your Ferrari to work day." |

It's like being a kid in elementry school waiting for recess all over again, waiting and ganwing on your fingers, obsessed with nothing but time and the reward to come when it passes... It.... Slowly... Drips... On... By.... <vrrrrooooooooommmm!> Top down, clutch in, first engaged<ka-clack>. Never had it this good on the monkey bars! Best! Ben.

I try to drive the TR to the office on nice Friday's. Luckly BMW has an underground garage, and everyone is very respectful of cars so no dings or dents. I typicaly take the long way home and enjoy the ride. |

about 20 years ago, i was working a summer job in geneva, and a beautiful 328gts was always parked outside our office. one day we had a huge hailstorm and this poor car got absolutley shelled! after it was over i went out to see what had happened and the car looked as if somebody had gone over it with a rubber hammer ! there were a million dents. right then the owner came out and almost started crying. we got to talking and he said he was going to claim it on the insurance. amazingly enough they paid up (bet they changed their 'acts of god' clauses after that one ). after it came back, he told me the dealer didn't even bother trying to beat the panels back out, and just replaced everything. must have cost them a fortune. by the way, the mercedes parked next to the ferrari didn't even get a dimple....... |

I drive my 308 to work almost everyday. An old towel under the seat comes in handy when it rains. It seemingly rains harder inside than out. It never fails to make my day better. |

Jack, you might be on to something. Golf balls are dimpled to make them fly straighter and longer, hmm....Norm |

I've kind of made it a weekly thing to drive to work on friday. I don't live far from the office, so driving actually takes longer with parking and so on. Anyway, at the last minute, I decided not to drive last week. In the middle of the day we had one of those "mother of all rain storms" topped off with good-sized hail. I park indoors, but would have been caught in this on the way home. Now, I'm not afraid of the Ferrari getting soaked, but I can only imagine what the hail would have done! For sale: '87 328, slightly dimpled... |

It is not the rain, it is the leaking roof on the S models that leave a wet left leg at about the pocket height suggesting that you just drove too fast and pissed in your pants!

I drove my 348 Spider in to work today, a 21 mile drive. it was a blast. 80 degrees, sunshine with the top down, it doesn't get much better than that. I can't wait until lunch so I can drive it a little to the restaurant and back. I had forgotten how much fun is was to drive her in to work. I'll have to do it more often. |
