Where's the bickering? I feel like the only one who doesn't know what's going on. Maybe I don't read enough of the threads to see the good stuff?

Seriously, I really enjoy this forum, although I did like the old format, where you saw the first phrase of the new posts.

William - Are you making fun of that car on the tv show "Knight Rider" with the term KITCAR? That could be enough to start a riot on this board. I like you as long as you don't criticize Magnum P.I. and the car on that show.

Just about every automotive forum has some misinformed narrowminded fools who think a certain kind of car is god...

There is nothing wrong with a little sh*t at times. I like the technical side, but the balance is what makes the site interesting. There are a good many interesting people with strong opinions, and good stories. If someone only wants the technical end, more power to them. To piss and moan about a little disagreement shows one's lack of perspective.

I'm with Matt, I get tired of the silly arguments, but you can always do what I do. Ignore them. Don't post inside the 'argument' and if you do, stay on topic. I'm not willing to give up the site because some people like to go off on each other.

or because 355s are overrated and overpriced Fiats

Well said Whart, it is not just a passion for Ferrari that we all share but a passion for life and its many pleasures. I enjoy the variety of topics and the opinions of posters on this board.

I have always found this interesting simply because you have to get drawn in and then keep replying, or bickering never begins.
You can't bicker if know one responds.

If you ignore a jerk the jerk has no power.

I know a guy with a SV Diablo that told me he likes to stir up the ants nest and watch for enjoyment. If your tightly stung you might become his victum.

So just how many times can we discuss, "What wax should I use?" or, "What should I look for when I buy a 308?" or, "When should my timing belt be replaced?" or "I don't like 348s because of those tacky cheese graters" or, "What should I buy, an F-50 or a GT-4?" or, "Should I put a Scuderia sticker, magnet or plastic shield on the side of my 328?" or "Watch out for those problem-prone low mileage cars"...???

But hey, I still get a chuckle watching the blood pressure on some of you guys go up every now and then. This is still very entertaining at times. Just hope everyone understands there are other things in this world significantly more important than the car(s) sitting in your garage.

Matt,

Totally concur. I left the site for a couple of weeks. Today, I logged on and immediately saw trash talking. Thanks to all who initially congratulated me about my 308. I'm done. Dane Sander

I kinda enjoy a little bickering. After work I get to go to my garage, and sit in peace with some cars. The only communication I have with the outside world is with people like you, who I hope will continue Bickering, so I have something to do at night.

I agree with bob. The crap doest upset me and this is by far the most mature and serious car forum, so the complaining should be kept to a minimum.

For the most part I get a kick out of some of the conflicts, some people just take themselfs WAY to serious and need to kick back a little. The mean remarks and comments do upset me but nobody forced me to read them. All in all this is still the best car site not just Ferrari but for any make I have been to.

WM Hart, according to some people we cant talk about cars, only ferraris. Also according to those people i shouldnt be posting this. No one take offense to this as i dont want to cause bickering on an anti-bickering thread.

Once upon a time this stuff never (well almost) never happened. That was back with the old format site, oh how i miss her. Ususally arguments begin with the S word, but im not going to say it (but we all know what it is) because of all the problems it starts.

Matt...I've kind of noticed the same as well, but try not to let it discourage you from participating on F-Chat nor drive you away from this site.

Like yourself, I'm relatively new to F-Chat as well, having purchased my very first dream Ferrari just last October. That said, I sometimes feel that I don't have very much to contribute, but try to help out my fellow Ferrari enthusiasts whenever I possibly can given such limited time of ownership.

One thing is for certain, I have had quite a few questions thus far that have been answered / solved by quite a few fellow Chatters, despite whatever differences of opinion they might have or what car is currently in their garage -- and for that I'm extremely grateful.

Just remember that there are many of us here that value your input!

I have noticed this happening more and more often around here......strange. I hope that people realize the true value of this site and its participants(most of them at least). Maybe some people just can't resist making sharp comments now and again to in some way help boost their ego.
If that is the case, then those people are wasting their time and harming this community's capacity to enjoy anything and everything Ferrari.

I believe 95% of us here try to exercise a little bit of maturity when people start stepping on each others toes. Hopefully the bad apples will stop griping about the worm that is eating them from the inside! Sheesh!

Matt - I agree with you 110%.. It makes me sad to see all these people argue about nonsense over a Ferrari site on the internet.. Maybe they have too much time on their hands!!?? Come on, life is too short for any of this... :-( Not naming any names..

PS. Matt - I'm a fellow Calgarian :-)

I'm pretty new to FerrariChat and started off with a pretty positive impression. But over time I've noticed people constantly bickering back and forth about insignificant issues. There has been so much conflict on the site that it is driving me crazy. I haven't posted for a while because of this and even questioning whether this is a worthwhile use of my time.

Matt
