Yes, Turtle Wax does a decent job. I use it on my daily driver...Japanese red fades and dulls FAST. This stuff keeps it shiny, lasts long too. But the Ferrari is too good for it. I use Auto Glym Super Resin Polish for that (plus Meguires Swirl Remover...good for the black paint). |

Zaino Bros. is definitely the best stuff around. Use Mother's clay bar once in a while too for best results. I am not so determined so I use Turtle Wax, it's in a liquid form. It may sound bad, but the stuff is amazing and really easy to apply. It comes out almost as well as Zaino (surprisingly) and is one tenth the effort and time. It is in a green bottle (it's Turtle Wax) which has a red 550 Maranello on the front. I asked one of my friends at the store which he uses on his car and he showed me this stuff, when I saw the Ferrari on the bottle I was sold. |

A few months ago I tried Zaino and have been very pleased with the finish. |

Great question, I'll be interested to read the other responses too. I bought Zymol, tried it once on the Rosso and personally found it to be a pain to use... too much work. And I didn't see any significant difference in shine or durability... it actually looked a bit cloudy to me. I checked Consumer Reports and they rated Prestone Bullet Wax (scared me too) as one of the top waxes tested. So I tried it... it's easy to use, now I wax the car more often... and it looks perfect. I used McGuires for years... but that was rated in the middle of the pack. I'm happy. OK carnuba-freaks, now's your chance to speak out! Besides, it's really the factory color-sanded Glasurit paint job that makes the car shine, the wax just seals it, right! |

Fortunately, I have had quite a few Ferraris (Red) and have always taken pride in the final finish that various waxes will give. Having used at least fifteen different brands and types of waxes, I would like to know what successes someone else has had with different products. Please let me know as the the waxes and tricks that you have used with success. This should be interesting. |
