Kinda sucks trying to find a good shop to work on your Ferrari that's near you, I had a bad experience when I had my 348 serviced. My car was treated like dirt and had scratches all over the rear of the car when they worked on it and it was done at a Ferrari factory dealer of all places. There were things replaced that were not necessary and without my consent and they didn't even save the old parts like I said.

I have come across several threads regarding the decline in service at FLG over the past few years. Mostly due to senior technicians leaving. I did contact them for a PPI recently several times and never got a return call. Not a good way to conduct business.

I called Modena Motors to ask him to check the advance mechanism on my two alternators which I have removed and rebuilt. He said "we do not work on removed parts." The people I talked to later about it called him "what a jerk." I tend to agree.

So, unless you are bringing your entire car in for him to rebuild with your entire bank account, you can forget about Modena Motors. What a #$%^.

Ferrari of Los Gatos has changed hands quite a few times. They used to be really at the bottom of the used car dealerships, but I do not know them now under new ownership

If the Modena Motors you are referring to is located on El Camino in Redwood City, its a small repair shop that works only on Ferraris. I went there on a recomendation to have a bushing on the rear lower control arm of my 308 done. One of the first thing the owner/mechanic asked me was what I did for a living. WHAT THE HELL DOES WHAT I DO FOR A FREAKING LIVING HAS TO DO WITH GETTING MY CAR FIX. He then said he was all booked up. Guess my hard earm money wasnt good enough for him or maybe he feels he wouldnt be able to put one over on me with a bunch of extra work that I wouldnt have need.

Didn't know Modena Motors did sales. Bought my TR from FLG, an OK experience after all was done.
