William, I drove the same car earlier this morning and was somewhat disappointed. While the engine and gearbox seemed great, the cowl shake drove me crazy. Even at very low speeds, you could feel the steering wheel shake and see the dashboard vibrate. Now, I don't have much experience with convertibles but this was really bad for a $100K car. Understeer was a little bit more pronounced than desired but for a GT it was manageable. The engine is very torquey and sounded extremely good. The Cambiocorsa transmission is a major improvement over the 360's F1. The downshifts were particularly fun to hear with a full throttle blip. I hope the Coupe is a whole different story and feels more solid. |

William, haven't had any experience with the car but compare the name and the desire of a exotic car like Ferrari. Do I need to say more? |

Guys, I test drove the new Maserati Spyder today in Costa Mesa, California and it was very nice. Great transmission, (F-1 like); I believe they call it the cambiocorsa. The fit and finish work was very fine indeed, but at $100,000 I am just not too sure that it's what I want! I mean I could get a new Porsche, MB, or a very nice used Ferrari for $100,000 (F355 spyder maybe). Does Maserati really think this car is going to fly off the shelves at this price? They do have a 4 year 50,000 mile warranty which is worth something. Anyway I would really like to know what you guys think of the car. Any thoughs at all positive or negative; I really value the opinion of the car people on this board. Thanks. |
