Jody is a class act. My wife & I met him in the paddock club at Montreal last year. He is so unbelieveably self-deprecating & humble--it was really refreshing! |

A while back I stopped by Ruby Tuesdays in John's Creek north of Atlanta to pick up dinner to carry home to my family. I was in my 1998 Viper GTS. While sitting in the bar waiting for my food I struck up a conversation with a guy who had commented on how much he liked my Viper which you could see through the bar's window. I started bragging about how fast it was and how I loved to run it at Road Atlanta and that I was pretty quick. Well my food came and as I was getting really to leave we exchanged business cards with me just sticking his in my jacket pocket without looking at it. After I got home, I undressed and looked at the card. It was Jody Schecter I had been bragging to. It was his card from a business he owns that is headquartered in Atlanta called FATS which is a firearms training business. There I was bragging to a F1 Championship driver about how fast I was on the track. He never bragged back and was a perfect gentleman not even commenting about his F1 past. |
