I think it would stink to have a glass engine cover (no offense 360 guys, you guys have a reason for the whole glass thing anyway). You would have to clean it all the time which would suck (especially when it's leaking oil, coolant, etc). I know what my engine looks like, actually I probably know what it looks like a little too well for my own good, if I don't see it for awhile I wont be heart broken. Plus, glass would be heavier which would slow us down, we don't want that.

I had a conversation last night at a party and it got around to cars. We discussed Ferrari's and 308 when he told me he saw a 308 in Vermont that had a glass insert in the engine cover center section. Has anyone seen this done and how did it look. He said that the center raised section was cut out and a thin frame was installed and then a piece of tempered glass was installed. You could see the cam cover and air cleaner . Interesting? Steve
