What about the lap times at Pista di Fiorano? 0-60? What is it for?? As soon as I leave town the 0-60 is unimportant. For me it's the character the car have and feedback I get when driving it that counts primarely, lap times is secondary. O-60 is for dragsters not sportscars. I like the 220 though. Ciao Peter |

I have owned three different British cars and from my experience you would have to be absolutely nuts to buy anything from the UK that was made in the late 80's or early 90's. Especially from Jaguar. Build quality on my Land Rovers and Jaguar were just plain terrible. On the XJ220 I imagine simple problems would turn into monumental repair bills. Just ask yourself why this car is $150,000 when it was selling new for over half a million and speculators were bidding the price up even higher. In the end they couldn't give these cars away. The performance numbers are not that impressive when you consider that a 2002 Corvette Z06 beats in in every category except top speed. for $100,000 less (0-60 in 3.9, 0-100 9.0, 1.4 mile in 12.4 Motor Trend). Granted the car will turn heads and you don't have to worry about your neighbor having one, but then again your neighbor may never know you have one either since it will be in the shop most of the time. Just my two cents worth. Jon Kofod

The XJ220 is a monster of a car- I love Ferraris, dont get me wrong, but I think I would take it over almost any modern F-car other then the f50/f40 |

Well, because there would be more down time and parts waiting time with the Jag. Also, as Willis mentioned, less room, less practicality. Sure it's faster, when it's running spot on, but how many Jag dealers have mechanics with the knowledge to service it? Also, speed is not the attraction with the 360. Sure it goes fast, so do a lot of cars. It's the whole package. When you are in a Ferrari, the whole world around you looks different. |

The 959 is a car you could actually use too, so its ashame they arent street legal in the US. You would think bill gates would just give the DOT one or two of the 4 that he has to be crash tested and make them legal for all of us. I think people who have them register them as a 911. |

If i had to pick one i woud pick the 360, but only because i want a ferrari. The Jag would be too much of a hassle to drive. As someone stated before, they are too long. They are fast as hell though with the twin turbo 6cly. They probably wouild have been better if the 12cyl made it to production. Will probably turned it down because hes waiting for a 911tt or a viper |

You know that's a good question. How often DO 360 owners drive their cars? I use the car 3 to 4 times a week (almost daily during the summer if I don't need to haul stuff). I think there's a restriction on the XJ220. I read somewhere that it can be streeted only to and from car shows. It also applies to the Porsche 959. Not sure if it still applies. |

Most 360 owners own it for the occasional weekend drive, correct? I am sure the XJ220 could be used for that purpose... |

Why? No warranty. Parts are hard to come by. Unwieldy in the streets (can't see out, car's too long). Where in the world can I go 212.3 MPH? No decent trunkspace. It's a good looking piece but I'd rather have something I could use. |
