Hi Mike, i have 2 512TRs a 92 racer & a 93
about holding value I think the 512TR will hold more value for several reasons, mostly cus its much rarer as only like 2500 were built VS 10,000+ TRs
is it worth $20-30k more ? I suppose that depends. If u really enjoy driving fast or taking a car to the track & letting her rip, then its definately worth it. if u r more interested in concours then, I'm not sure
Its definately a lot faster & handles better than the TR, when it was built Ferrari said it was 2/3 of an f40
I think u can find a nice car for about $100k if u look around, dealers may ask m ore but everybody wants a 355 or 360 now so u can get a deal

I'm ready to buy my first Ferrari. I've decided on either a TR or 512TR, the later of which would be kind of a stretch. Naturally, I've done some homework and understand (I think) the major differences between the two. However, I have some questions and would appreciate whatever advise or help you can offer. Here it goes:

1. What is a reasonable price for a 1990-91 TR or 1992-93 512 TR with between 7,500 and 17,500 mile and in excellent overall condition with services performed? Has the poor economy driven prices down over the last several months?

2. Never having driven the 512TR, is it really worth the extra 20-30k over the TR?

3. Should I even consider a Euro conversion?

4. Finally, which car would hold it's value better over the next 5-10 years?

Thanks in advance for your help.
