I know we're talking about 308's here, but how about the red 360 in the "Charlies Angels" movie. It was Cameron Diaz's car. |

That line from Gumball rally, "What's behind you is not important" is one of my favorite quotes. However my lovely wife pointed out to me that it is not exactly true if you are driving a mid-engined Ferrari ! |

What about cartoons? In the Simpsons, Marge hits actor Rainier Wolfcastle/McBain's Ferrari f-40 then steals it. Quote: "My FERRARI!!!! I had to do horrible things to buy her." |

65 posts to this topic and no one has mentioned Gumball Rally. Good shots of the Daytona Spyder throughout the movie and great sounds too. And one of the best lines ever- at the start of the race the character played by Raul Julia pulls the rear view mirror off the Spyder and says "What's behind me is not important" An interesting side bar; a friend of mine did a lot of the stunt driving on the movie, he was also one of the actors in the Jag that never got started and was stuck in the Redball Garage for the entire movie. One night outside of Alburquerque he stuffed the front of the Daytona into the side of a hill destroying a full camera rig and a lot of the car. Turns out that was his last day on the picture for some reason....Norm |

On the Beach I saw the last part of Stanley Kramer's 1959 "On the Beach" last night on AMC. It had Gregory Peck and driving (what was represented as) a Ferrari, Fred Astaire. I don't know the model. There is a road race with lots of other sports cars and hokey crash seens. --tim d |

TV An episode of "CHiPs" has a ambassador from some foriegn country tearing around town in a 246 Dino, of course he has diplomatic immunity and Ponch and John can't do anything about his escapades. "Simon & Simon" there was an episode with them looking for someone in a 308 GTS. "Smallville" Lex Luther drives a 348 Spider. |

The movie BLOW, with Johnie Depp has a yellow 308 in it for a second. It's when their flashing through a bunch of shots he's sitting in on. Also when you see all his cars I think there is an Fcar in the background. When they go into his birthday party there is what looked to be a Dino sitting there. It was a really good movie regardless of the Fcars in it. |

I know this started out as a 308 thread, but it has bloomed, so I'll mention this. A number of months ago, I was flipping through the channels and saw a Dino in L.A. Law. A P.I., a woman, owned it, and was teaching a lawyer from New York how to drive, he had never driven before, and the scenes where he was popping the clutch just made my skin crawl, but it was a great looking car. |

Something very funny happened to me when I had my tires balanced this past weeeknd. Two young guys, about my age came out to look at my 308 when I arrived. They were both freaking out, "Oh my God man, I saw THIS car in Fast and the Furious!!" They asked me if mine was brand new. I just smiled and said, no its a 1984 308. Their jaws hit the ground. Talk about a timeless design HUH? |

If I remember correctly, there is a black? 308 in the movie 'To Live and Die in L.A.'. It has been a while since I saw it. Also 'The Fast + Furious' has a 355 spyder briefly race against a done-up supra. Hollywood magic allowed the supara to appear to win. Checkout the movie, the 355 is right there with the supara. Lucky for the both of them my 308 wasn't there. |

Surprising to me, Rain Man with Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman had a bunch of exotics in it. 3 Countaches (white, red, black), what looks to be a Daytona and a Testarossa are in the background of his warehouse. He drives around in a 400 for quite a while too. |

My 308 was in the movie "Mo Money". When I bought the car the guy told me it was in the movie. I went and rented the movie expecting some great scene. It is about a two second shot of it parked in a garage. It is so lame I forgot about it untill I read Patricks comment about his car being in a movie. The guy I bought it from even gave me a copy of they check he was paid. If I didn't have that I wouldn't believe it was in the movie. |

There was also a yellow F355 Spider in the recent movie about the dirty stock brokers. I can't remember the name, but I think it was Ben Aflack's. Also, there were some really nice Ferraris in "Gone in 60 Seconds". They didn't spend enough time showing them though. I remember a 275B, an 512TR and a black Boxer. |

Don't forget about the 275 NART Spider in the original "Thomas Crown Affair" with Steve McQueen. It was shown in a barchetta "maroon" color. This same car was repainted yellow and is in the illustrated book "100 Greatest cars, Volume II", I think. It's probably worth $2.5 million. |

The ebay car was a fake made by the same company that made the Ferris car. It was black, and the Ferris car was red. When they were filming "Vacation", the scene w/ the Ferrari was shot outside of my hometown in Colorado. I still remember driving every night to the local Holiday Inn to see the Ferrari and 2 "Family Trucksters" on their car carrier in the parking lot. |

The Hidden is one of my favorite movies. I anyone has not seen it, you MUST see it. The alien FBI agent drives a Porsche 928. There is a scene in the movie, where the alien gets his second Ferrari, a red/tan Mondy 3.2 Cab at a dealership, and you can see many great cars in the background, including a red Miura, several 308s and...no kidding...the front end of a red 375 MM!! (the 375MMs happen to be one of my favorite Ferraris made). The first 15 minutes of the movie is VERY entertaining. GREAT MOVIE!! Did anyone see the Home Improvement episode with a silver 330 in it?? My mom called me in a panic one day, and I was scared for a moment, and she said "Quick, turn on channel 5, there is a Ferrari on Home Improvement!!" My parents are so cool. |

I'm not sure about these movie names but there is a Chevy Chase movie with Christy Brinkley (I think) driving by in a 308. It's one of those Vacation movies where they are going to Disney. If I remember correctly, the car is a funny shade of red. It appears more that for just for a few seconds. There is also a recent James Bond movie (Golden Eye I think, with Brosnan) where a 355 GTS is shown in a European cliff-side race with 007 in his Aston. |

How about this one? Very small part. Columbo had a case- photographer won lottery but rich uncle stold ticket and killed him in tub. Monkey solved the case with prints. It was a 308 in gold. Very ugly color. Wood trim. Yuck. Funny seeing Columbo drive up in his crappy car and getting treated like sh*t in snoty rich-car dealership. |

Ferris Bueller's Day Off. A Ferrari California was "parked" by a valet parking attendant and instead he took it out for a joy ride, returning it just in time for the car to be picked up. Of course later on the kids kicked it down a ravine while trying to turn back the mileage on the odometer. I am sure it was a kit car from a Corvette or something. Oh yes, the show Miami Vice went from a Daytona kit car to a Testarossa with the highest paid cop in the world driving a Ferrari and living on, what else, a yatch. His boss never seemed to have any paper work on the desk, other than a solidtary phone. If all cops have such lifestyles... I would be one. |

"Scent of a Woman" where Paccino drives the Mondail while he is blind, fools the cop! In "The Rock" there is a 355. They use a kit car when they destroy it. Bill Cosbey's standup show "Bill Cosbey: Himself" he makes reference to driving his wife to the hospital in a $17 000 Ferrari, and pleading with his wife not to have the baby in the car! |

The best 308 scene that I know of is the one in Agaist all odds. James Woods drives a black 308 and races Jeff Bridges who drives a red 911. I bought the movie just for that scene. Also Beverly Hills cop 2 had a 308 in it. If you look close they change it back and forth between a 308 and a 328. Actually you really don't have to look close. It is pretty obvious. |

Almost forgot the movie "Against all odds". There is a good scene with a race between a 308 & 911. You can find it on DVD for under $10(Walmart, Kmart). Another movie is "One crazy summer" where they use a 308 for a boat engine(not a real one though). They basically but a 308 rear end on a boat. |
