Check with SAMS Club. About 2 or 3 years ago I picked up an F 50, 550, 456 GT, & other 1/18 cars for $10.00 each. Good luck.

Got the new Murcielago the other night at Wal-mart. 1:18 scale. Apparently, the department manager didn't price them correctly, and I got it for only $10 bucks. It's a Maisto brand, black in color. The next day, I received my 1:18 version from Bburago in the mail. It was a Gold Edition, but the yellow paint had some overspray and it was scratched, so I sent it back.

Great score Jim, I've been looking for the 550 Barchetta. You may want to call them if they get the F1 models again. I'm glad you found it. I've been busy with the new shop in Houston & moving down here. Be sure to share your new toys with Rob.

William RULES! I drove to Fort Worth this morning and found the Mattel Outlet. The "Thursday Special" was 1/18 Ferraris for $7.99! I got a 250 GTO, 288 GTO, and Testarossa at a bargain price. I also picked up the 550 Barchetta for $17.99. What a deal. Was worth the 90 mile round trip drive. I nearly bought everything they had to share the bargains with you guys, but couldn't figure out how to explain it to my wife.

Michael, walk up and down all the aisles? You're kidding right? Have you ever been to toy store w/ a 3 year old? You go down every aisle 2 or 3 times. And you look at nearly every item on the shelf.

Can anyone shop at a Mattel warehouse? Gotta check if there is one in Toronto!

When I go up in Ft Worth, Mattel has a warehouse store that you can buy Ferrari 1/18, 1/48, 1/64, etc. Hot Wheels for a fraction of the list cost!

Hot Wheels Ferrari 1/18th cars list $29.99, Mattel sale price $7.00 to $15.00 NEW!

stock changes daily so charge to see if your city has a Mattel warehouse.

For more info, E Mail me for what your looking for.

I've never seen a 1/18 Ferrari of any kind in a discount store, or toy store. And I'm there a lot, I have 2 small kids! Maybe I need to move closer to you guys.

Here is where I go to locally:

FAO Schwartz
Target
K-Mart
Wal-Mart
Kay-Bee Toys
Toys-R-Us
Hobby People
Hobby Town USA

Since Christmas just passed, don't expect a huge amount of inventory at least until February- that's the story I got from most of the associates at the stores I go to. However, you can still find an occasional treasure on the top shelves (usually hidden by some associate waiting to buy it), or hidden in the back of all the same cars, for example I found a sweet 1:18 360 Spyder this past weekend hidden behind 4 Corvettes on the same shelf at Target. That same day, I found a 1:18 Lamborghini Diablo on the top shelf, obviously hidden. The sales associate had a mad look on his face when he saw me go to the register with it!

Online I usually check:

www.hobbytownusa.com
www.exoticar.com
www.eautomobilia.com
www.scale18.com
www.wildcollections.com

If I had more money, I would definately buy those models from Auto-art that range from $60.00 and above

Hope this helps

Look on ebay. They go pretty cheap. I buy mine at Wal-mart of all places and off ebay. Most of mine I get from Italy because they are released there first. The guy I deal with username is Davide. Hope it helps.

On second thought, I'd also trade for a red 355 spyder or a 550 Barchetta.

I just got a 1/18 Hot Wheels Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder model in yellow. I'd prefer a red one. Does anybody have one they'd like to trade? It's still unopened in the box.
