The engine on the 360 N-GT develops 420 hp, this with a significant restriction on the air intake(applied by regulations).Since the restriction doesn't apply to the road vehicles I'm guessing it's worth around 440-450 hp without them in N-GT form. Why not apply the same modification of this engine to that of the stock street car.I know there would be some problems with emissions, but other than that do you think it could be done?

That's true Jon. Even switching over to polyurethane bushings makes the ride harsh. Street driving, definitely stock set-up. The stock design is way more than enough handling, that most owners will never reach the limits of.

heareds are the exhaust manifold, they are the pipes that bolt to the exhaust ports and collect into the exhaust pipes.

Similar to the F355 Challenge suspension, the 360 Challenge suspension has nothing in common with your road car. Unless you plan to do some serious track days, changing to a Challenge suspension would be pointless and very expensive.

The ride quality would deteriorate significantly on the street and the perfomance gain in handling would never show up in street driving. I am also unsure if you can still purchase Challenge items seperately for the 360 like you used to be able to with the 355. Keep in mind that the two most expensive Challenge items on the 355 were the brakes ($12,000 by itself) and the suspension (don't know individual cost but gather it would be very expensive).

Just my two cents worth.

Do you feel that the Tubi exhaust really enhanced the performance or is it mostly the sound that "makes you feel quicker".
Are you putting the cat-bypass pipes for sound improvement or for performance improvement?
What are exactly the headers(I'm italian sorry) and how many hp would this mod give you?
I'm sorry for so many questions but I am considering changing my current car with a Modena and I would do so only if I am certain that its performances can be enhanced in a noticeable and reliable way.(Don't get me wrong, even without mods it's wonderful, it just lacks a little bit of torque for my taste)
I apreciate your infos Ernesto.

I did the air filters. No noticeable improvment, but I am pretty sure they did something. Then I did the Tubi exhaust, and that was a big change.

Next are the cat-bypass pipes (aka test pipes) which I have had for months but have not yet installed because of the O2 sensor problem. As soon as Tubi releases the headers, I will get those too!

I was wondering if it's possible to convert the standard 360 suspensions with that of the Challenge cars(not sure about what really changes between the two).
If anybody has done this, how is the ride afterwards?
I'm also curious on the possibilities of engine mods to improve performance.Other than exhaust, has anyone experienced any engine/performance upgrades for the Modena?
TIA
