FOC Florida Region has posted some nice pics of the event (with more to come), in case you haven't seen them yet:

...so what you are saying is I should put racing tape on the front so it does not get sandblasted?

:)

...we will have fun!

Hasta la vista Baby :)

William,
great you made the decision. Now I can show you how a 348 can drive circles around your TR :)
(that is what happens when you fall asleep listinging to a Tony Robbins tape, you start dreaming BIG :) :) )

Michael,
sorry I missed you. Solly was talking about you but I could not find you.

Solly,

Thanks for the offer. I will talk to the wife about taking you up on that.

Michael

PS: How long does it take you to get to Teterboro airport from the city?

Had a great time and will definitely go again next year, AFTER I get a different car with a MONSTER engine to stop those annoying F50's (and F40's, 550's, 360's, 355's, 348's 328's and 308's ) from beating my ass on the straights. Love the Dino and it's great in the turns but humiliating to be burnt on the straights by just about everything else Ferrari has made in the last 30 years. Car needs more ponies. Only 360 I managed to stay ahead of was driven by someone who never heard of an apex.

Spent some good time with William H, Michael N, Martin and his wife (who blew us off Saturday night-you're forgiven ), Dilly, Edvar and a bunch of other very nice people. This was definitely one of the friendliest events I have ever been to. Talked to some guys with multi-million dollar collections and absolutely no attitudes, a few even helped me with a last minute tune-up in the parking lot (those stupid Dino tools I bought for the concours are worthless for any real work).

Would be great to have another event soon that more of you could attend. Maybe another Long Island rally in the spring like we did last fall. Everyone is invited.

William-lost your card. Please e-mail me your Conn. phone # and hope to see you when you get back in April.

Michael-I'm opening the house in late April. Come up and visit and bring the family. We can go watch William race.

Have a good time, William. Kicking Lambo butt must be bitter sweet for you since you have one. :)

William, William,
SOOOOOOORRRRRRRYYYYYYY for Saturday night. We were held up in Ft. Lauderdale and by the time we left and went on the I there was a traffic jam and I turned the car around.

Hope you guys had a great time.

I was looking all over for you on the track and at the concourse. We came late for the concourse and had to go to the lunch from the FOC then had only an hour to stick around and see some cars. Darn hectic.

Met Solly but could not find you or Michael. Sorry I missed Dilly as well.

Hope we can see each other today. Now at 10:00 I guess I can call you in the hotel. If you left already call me or Marion for tonight, dinner someplace. Its on me, the least I can do...

I had a good Cavallino as well. The Dino took 3 awards - Best 6 Cylinder, Presevation Award, and 1st place Platinum. Not bad for a former track car!

Another 1 bites the dust :) It was a good 1. I had some car troubles but I got to meet Sully & hope to meet Martin soon.
First I got my new wheels & slicks all ready & mounted only to discover that my stock lug nuts didnt work, then the F50 brakes didnt arrive in time, then my radiator cap died causing my 512TR to boil over & on the 2nd track day my starter solenoid abandoned me, so that was the end of the weekend for my car. Monday she goes to SHelton for a new solenoid but I'm flying home on Thursday so I probably wont see her again till April.
Well at least I got to hang with some good friends I havent seen since last race season.
There were some awesome cars too. All 3 series 2 GTos were here as well as 6 series 1 GTOs, a 58 TR, 67 P4, 6 Californias, 4 F50, 6+ F40s, 10+ 550 Barchettas, 2 NART spyders, & lots more goodies
