No expert, here. But I've asked around a bit on these and here's a few things that I've gleaned. Best Year? '92's bring the higher dollar. But improvements from '90-'92 were minor. Though one poster in another thread claimed that quality was noticeably improved, this was the only case where I heard this. Best Price? These cars were hot during the dot.com era. They have softened of late - and are expected to soften further. High 2's to maybe 300k should buy a great one (2-5k miles, straight car, complete records/history, nothing missing, no significant track time). 275k, or even less, might buy same car in a couple of months. Would discourage against the super low-mileage trailer queens if driving the car is your intention as turbo seals, gaskets, etc. - go bad. These cars were meant to be driven and run better when they have been. |

Wide World of Cars (like 20 mins away from me, just across the NJ-NY border) has a 1990 F40 that is in great condition, but I am unsure of the price. If I go up there soon I will find out what they want and the details of it. |
