When I bought my car, I had about 10 receipts with three different people's names on them. I also had the importation sheet and the dealers name (mine is a "Euro" model). I was able to contact the dealers and repair shops in the area, with the previous owners names and get the documentation I wanted -- I think most Ferrari places know what owners want.
There is an option to try www.u12buy.com, and see if they can trace anymore history for you. I know the gimmick is to get your car information so they can E-Mail specials but they may be able to help you too -- and it's for free and no time on your part.
As a last resort, you could use one or more of the internet services to trace ownership by VIN. These sites are used typically by employers & lenders to find assets owned by deadbeats(presently or in the past). Search on "skip trace" and you will find many. Downside of this is that most records are by state, so multiple searches are required and you will be charged for each search even if it comes up with no results. Carfax may at least be able to tell you what states the car has been in to limit your searches. But, this may give you the info you need. |

I bought my 328 with only the tabs in the service book stamped. I've since called up each place it was serviced and requested receipts. Most places are happy to do this. My only problem has been tracking down places that have changed names or moved.
I did find out the original dealer, owner, and date delivered just from the delivery book. I would love to find a window sticker and more information, but that may not be possible.

I recently purchased a 1995 456 GT cpe.
Vin# ZFFSP44A6SO103099
I am trying to tace history back to origin. I used carfax.com but it does not go back to "SHIPPED FROM FACTORY".
Anyone have an idea where or how to go about tracking history back that far?
Any help would be appreciated.
