Hi Roel,

Sorry about posting so late. Have been busy for the last week. I already made the reservations for Spa. Still I do not have a confirmation and a detailed timetable for the days though.
When I know everything I can write to your email adress if you are still interested.
The Maranello Motors team was indeed in the pits and did participate in the race (Results were miserabel though!).

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens

Excellent post Roel.

I have heard a lot about the Italia a Zandvort event - were there any UK Ferrari owners present?
Great pics! (the F40 looks magnificent as per usual)

Hey i am new to the site, and am one of those kids (21) that cant wait till the day that a Ferrari is sitting in my garage. it is cool to see other young kids share the say joy of Ferrari's together. And is cooler that the people that actually own F-cars let us share in the love of Ferraris.
BTW I still remeber my first ride in a F-car. Actually this last August. A best friends dad just bought a used (2001) red 360 spyer F1. I rember that ride like none other. That was the fastest i had ever been. The feeling of sitting in the pass seat was amazing. and the sound was so prestine. To know that i was sitting in a car that was worth more than most peoples houses was unreal. I know that car was worth every penny he spent. About 3 months later he bought a Porshe 911 twin turbo bright yellow and he put a chip & exhaust on it so the Hp was around 510, he took me for a ride in that and it was good but not nearly as remeberable as the day in the ferrari. He is getting ready to sell the Porshe so he can make room in his garage for a 575M which i am dreaming of the day that i get to ride in it :-). So once again it is cool to see young adults with the same love of F-cars as i do

Great pics, Roel! Thanks very much! Really sorry to have missed Italia at Zandvoort when seeing the cars. Must have been at the 2nd of June or so! Did you watch the Challenge race at that weekend? I am a fan of the Maranello Motors team (My local Ferrari Dealer!). Hope to see some more pictures from you. Perhaps you are at Spa-Francochamps at the 10th and 11th of July 2002. There will be an informal Ferrari Meeting with some historical F1 Cars, a Concours dElegance and a meet and greet with Jacky Ickx. Perhaps you are there! If so I will take you some laps with my 348 on the Spa Grand Prix Circuit.

Con saluti cordialissimi,
Jens

Interesting... That yellow 355 looks like a GTS with a color coded yellow top. Cool!

I remeber the first time i was in a Ferrari. It was WHart's 550 Barchetta (you can see that exact car in the road and track article about the 550 Barchetta, they featured his car). Too bad it wsant warmed up yet, he couldnt get on it. The 2nd time i was in a Ferrari it was Rijk's (he hasnt been around in a while) 365 GTB/4 Daytona. It was AMAZING. The sound was incredible. It was powerful too, and its 30 years old. I was in an 87 (i think) testarossa with a borla exhaust, that was amazing too. Someone on here is 19 and he has a 308 GTS QV. Ive met him, but never seen his car. HEs currently rebuilding the engine.

Hey there Tim.

Good to see im not the only kid in here ;)
btw, i share your thoughts about owning a ferrari one day.

Oh btw, a litl' story, prior to the italia a zandvoort day... I was VERY lucky to find myself in the passenger seat of a '89 Testarossa, red exterior, black inside. I couldnt believe it was happening, and all i remember was smiling for the rest of the day and goosebumbs all over when i rode along. That sound of the v12 in the back !!!! Beyond greatness.

It was my first time to have ever riden along or even sat in a ferrari, and i loved every second of it. An experience not to be forgotten. When i got out of the car my picture was taken, havent been able to get my hands on it yet, but ill post it as soon as ive got it.

Ok, as promised, some more ....
Here's 2 great asses ;)

The F40 drew a lot of attention as you can see... still got a good shot of the back though!

enjoy.

and the F40 ..

f40

oh wait, one more here... The engine of the 360 is just a work of art if you ask me. The pic i took here was actually of a running engine... I couldnt believe how little it vibrated... not visible to the naked eye.

Hi everyone. Its my first post here so i'll start off introducing myself. Im Roel de Fouw, 19 yrs old, living in Holland and a big car enthusiast. On top of the list, you guessed it, Ferrari's.

In this post ive got some pictures of a local event called italia a zandvoort. Which means
-lots- of ferrari's at the circuit of zandvoort.
I was there for the day with a borrowed digicam, so here's some of the pics i shot there.
Hope you enjoy them!

Nice red 360

nice red 360

Beautiful 348 challenge car.

As you can see -plenty- of F-cars to admire... This pic doesnt even come close to capturing them all.

Some more pics coming in next post! Too bad the cam was already full with like 3/4 of the day left, so what you see is only part of the fun ;)
