Thanks to everyone for the cheer - It's amazing how 24 hours can change your view and attitude about things. Although I still have an incredible amount of work ahead of me....I am in much better spirits today - mostly because I polished the 308's wheels sooooooooo nicely they have never looked so good. I think the worse part of the takeover/merger was dealing with my counterparts at the other firm - they are in fear of losing their jobs obviously, so it made for some tension. I am fairly confident that I am going to stay but if not - I'll look at it as an opportunity and then go work with cars and racing somehow. Who needs Prozac when you have a Ferrari......and friends |

LOL - thanks for the offer Steven - I'd buy a beer for anyone here on FC - for putting up with me We have a big luncheon for the market on Thurday - luckily I have most of Wed to tour the city and shop......flying a charter jet so everything is subject to change. I think even a few hours of rest roaming NY will do me good I hate to say but I have to get back to work - OUCH
Todd - just a part of being human - you may be right but sometimes you can't help the way you feel. |

If you're in NY next week and still depressed we can take my f-cars out for some exercise and then we can cry in our beer together. If your stock options soar I'm sticking you with the bar tab. |

"SOOOOooo it's a lot on my shoulders and it does nothing for your self esteem or confidence. " WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT?? Self-esteem/worth/confidence comes from within and what you make happen. NOT uncontrollable things which happen TO you....When you are in the dumps give, give, give... It works for real.. |

okay - you poor guys have to put up with a Nika rant here - sorry but I have to do it....or I'd be drinking a bottle of wine. Last week at work we announced a big takeover - soon my co will be 2.5 times bigger - next week I'm in NY marketing with our chairman...let's just I haven't stopped working for weeks and I'm exhausted. Next to that I heard a dear friend was diagnosed with cancer and will undergo surgery Monday........I also sent the racerdude packing to the door since he just disrespected me one too many times. SOOOOooo it's a lot on my shoulders and it does nothing for your self esteem or confidence. So I took the car out today in the short moments it wasn't raining cats and dogs.....and I tell you what a way to cheer oneself. Luck was with me since traffic seemed to be at a minimum - I pushed Mister Bumblebee more than I have ever. He was kind and forgiving - even in corners. Yeah - things are not that bad when you have a home, great friends and your Ferrari. I ended up giving that 308 a good coat of wax and polishing the wheels...........guess I better find the time to do that to myself I've also decided to get behind the wheel of a race car again and see if I can have fun on the track again. Who knows after the merger goes thru my shares might get me that 355 after all! Thanks for letting me vent Nika www.racerchicks.com |
