I don't think the airbag issue is much of an issue if your kid is in a booster seat. The "height" issue is if the kids head is too low, the airbag will push it back. If with the booster seat the childs head is at an adult level, then they should be protected. There was a great article on this in a recent Car and Driver. |

scary to see some people drive hugging their steering wheels. I always think, "If they only know wth what force that thing deploy" There must be hundreds of fatalities due to airbags, at least thousands of injuries.

The air bags are an issue of safety, not legality. When an air bag goes off it will incorrectly hit whoever is in the passenger seat if they are below a certain height and injure them rather than protect them. Since kids younger than I think 12 years old are generally shorter than whatever the safe height is, an age requirement has been established. It really should be based on height instead of age. |

Happy Fathers Day Nick: I agree with acw that the airbag is your problem. Actually, if your daughter is 8, she doesn't need to be in a booster seat unless she is less than 60lbs(at least in CA). But if under 12yrs old, no children can be seated in locations with airbags. If you do need a seat, I have had great service from the Priori Maxi-Cosi. It doesn't require child seat recoilers or belt adapters, and also comes in black leather. 1-800-544-1108 Good Luck |

They had one at Babys-r-us, at least last year when we were expecting. I think it was around $150. ....Opps, sorry, the seat was a baby seat, not a booster. |

The main problem will be that you'll have to find a way to disable the passenger airbag. Maybe your local dealer can install a switch? ACW |

I believe Sparco makes models that can be ordered in different skins. I have gotten around this on my T by shortening and mounting 2" Sparco harnesses in the back. - JMG |

I would like to use my 360 everyday, which means transporting my 8 year old daughter to school. Any one seen booster seats in black leather? Nick |
