Steve, I came across a Goodyear Tire advertisement in a 1985 Road & Track. It pictured the rear end of a black 308 GTS with the same wheel treatment as on your car. I'll scan and post it when I get the chance. I think your wheels look great especially on your black car. Very unique. If it were me, I would leave the wheels as they are. Barry | ||

Barry: I believe it was FOSD's practice to fit all of their cars with black centered OEM wheels regardless of the body color. When in the SD area, I noticed quite a few cars with the same wheel finish. Upon closer inspection, they all carried the FOSD license plate frames. | ||

Steve, Congratulations! It's a beautiful car. Use it in good health. I like the wheels the way they are. Did Ferrari of San Diego fit black-centered wheels on all their cars, or did they body color match them? Barry | ||

Happy Fathers Day to all of you! I look back to when I was a young pup I gave my dad a bottle of aqua velva. OOooooo it was nasty smelling stuff but he always coooed over it. Funny but after he passed on I found about 50 full bottles of the cologne in the basement - what a guy, never wanted to hurt my feelings but I guess he hated the stuff!! Yes - he would of prefered a 308  | ||

Yoshi: My s/n is 55551: Jan.85 build date. Had a lovely early morning drive today. My wife is a very special lady. I'm a very grateful fellow. We should get the local bay area Neros together for a beer/BBQ this summer. Mitchel: Thanks on the wheels. From what I am told, all Ferrari's that originated from Ferrari of San Diego(no longer around) were fitted with black centered OEM wheels to mark their cars. I am considering refinishing them this winter back to the original finsh. And as for marriage, I highly recommend it. Fatherhood even more! Tyler: Thanks for the kind words. We all know as car guys, if we want them, we will find some way of getting them into the garage. But for my wife to put one in there for me was indeed special. Bill: Again thanks for the kind words, but the Ferrari doesn't hold a candle to my wife. Congratulations on Lord Stanley's Cup. The Wings really played with purpose and class. I only wish my Leafs could have been there too for a true original 6 Cup. Was this Spider a Cup salary incentive for Federov? Handsome son there Bill. Bruce: No hard feelings towards my Leafs I hope... Isles played a great series, and accomplished much more than expected for a young team.
