James, You might want to check out "Dream Car Garage" on the Speed Channel Tuesday June 25th at 7:30am EST or Wednesday at 12:00pm EST. Peter Klutt hosts a segment on the 275 GTB...

Arlie, Actually the photo below of my 275 doesn't have a license plate because it had just come out of the paint shop. I do get a little nervous at shows when kids who look like they're in a grunge rock band want to know how much everything cost. |

Arlie You don't think a good thief could find out where these guys have their cars. I don't understand what help a license plate gives them over the tons of other info on websites, emails, normal observation. |

Stephen, I agree with your comments concerning the "security" issues and the "one way rides". I posted some similiar comments over on the License Plate Photos threads and folks over there aren't very concerned about theft. To further validate my point, I noticed that none of the 275 photos on this thread display a license plate number. You have to be careful about who you talk to when you own anything valuable. Loose lips sink ships! |

Manu, Mine is a 1965 275GTB, Short Nose, Steel body. It is an original 6 carb car (only 12 short nose were). The car is a dream to drive. Light and nimble, but with 12 cylinders pulling up front and making all that wonderful Ferrari music. I had the opportunity to take it on the track in California. That was a good day. |

James, It could be a Lusso. Look at the rear window, the Lusso has a very skinny A pillar. FerrariJoe posted some great photos. The only one I had of my car from behind is not very good, but here it is.
One other opinion about your neighbor. People with lots of expensive cars at home tend to be a little shy around strangers, for security's sake. You never know who might be looking to take one of your prized Ferraris on a one way ride. You might try sending him a letter asking about his cars and sharing your passion with him. Might break the ice. Hope this helps. Steve |

If he ignored you then he's a total moron IMO ! Sad because he seems to love ferraris . |

Well I have thought about that, however,I saw him once at the gas station with his 355, so I walked over to him and said "nice car, my dad used to have one of these", and he made some comment under his breath and ignored me. I am not sure if he was having a bad day, or just doesn't like talking to strangers. He lives 1 block away from me, so I pull into his cul-de-sac almost everyday in the summertime to see what he has in his 3 single garages with hydo lifts. If I see him outside of his house again and his garage door is open, I may go and ask to see the cars. There is an exotic car place opening in Calgary today, and an F40 along with other Ferraris will be there. I am going to get some pictures. If RYANB is reading this, give me a call at 397-7319 and we can check out the F40. |

Have you thought about stopping at his house and asking to see his Ferraris ? I've done this a couple of times and the people I meet are usually very friendly and love to talk about their cars. |

The 250 Lusso has a very similar rear end look. |

Well, It really looks like it could be a 275 in his garage. It's yellow, and has the same type of plate frame on it as the yellow one in the picture. I can't see the sides of the car, as it is on a hydro lift (with a 512 TR below it). I will have to look out for the trunk release next time I see it. Unfortunatly, he doesn't have the garage door open often, and he gives me odd looks as I drive by his house almost every day. So other than a GTO, it must be a 275 then?? This guy is a high roller, he has a red 355, yellow 360, red 512 TR and this old yellow 275. Thanks |

James, Here's a couple of pic's to tie you over until Stephen sends you one of his. They are both 1966 GTB/4's.

James, I'll post some pics of my car tomorrow for you from behind. They're on my computer at work. The 275 is pretty easy to spot (OK a GTO is close, but how many of those are floating around). The back has the Kamm tail, one round head light per side. The truck has a push button lock on the lip. Truck will either be flush, or have two external chrome hinges on either side. Some have rear window defroster grid installed. Also look for the fresh air vents on either side of the rear window. Hope this helps until tomorrow.

Would somebody mind doing this?. I am sure the fellow down the street from me, who owns 3 or 4 Ferraris, has a yellow one sitting on a lift in his garage. THe car has one round, red tail light for each side. Do other models have the same rear end as the 275GTB's?? Thanks in advance |
