Only four 340 Mexicos were built. The car that could have been yours was probably s/n 0226AT. This car was sold two years ago for $1.3M! I know what you think ;-)

According to the Mercato listing in Cavallino, 4 were built; i believe Dean Batchelor, the R&T editor, owned one for quite a while. I also remember reading a road test of the car which i believe was done within the last decade. (My mind and library are not quite as organized as i would like.)I don't remember seeing any up for auction in the last few years, although, with a little research, i'm sure you can find out what the selling prices have been. I would assume that the price would be below 2 million, but that is difficult to predict given the results at some of the auctions, for old, famous cars.

Would like to know how many 1952 Mexico's were built and if there are any in the U.S.

While shopping for a car after leaving the Army in 1956 I ran across a '52 Mexico at Performance Cars Ltd., a dealer in Detroit. It was a bit beat up and still had the bars covering (I think) only the drivers side. The dealer could hardly get it to run and was trying to "unload" it for the grand sum of $1,700. Wondering if anyone might have any idea of one of these has changed hands recently and what it might be worth. Also, anyone know how many were built?

Thanks
