Seems there is another discussion about this car. Anyway, it was made for the Sultan of Brunei. And when he wants a RHD F40 with a full-leather interior, he gets it .... and this is exactly what happened!! And yes, he has six other RHD F40s, in various colours. But Dave, can you add anything more about the car?? Would love to hear Talacrest's stories ..... |

real or not, it doesn't look right in that color imho. too staid and conservative to match the performance and reputation of this car. |

HOLD ON GUYS. I've seen the car in person at Talacrest. It had come in when I was picking up my 348 from Talacrest. What do you want to know about it? ps they are TR seats. |

Dave, that car was sold by Tony Nevotti of Ferrari of Houston. It left the factory Rossa Corsa (red) and was re-painted blue by Ferrari of Houston per the buyers request. That F50 is now owned by a collector in Dallas and has recently been re-painted red. According to Tony, no F50 ever left the factory in blue. (Tony and I just discussed this F50 and its first owner a couple of weeks ago) Chris |

The 5th F50 color is NART Blue, I believe. There is one in that color that I have seen in Dallas. |

288 GTO's and F40's only came in one color and one shade of red, F50's came in several colors. |

Finally an 8cyl to match my 12. ROFL I was under the impression that F40's on came in 2 colors - both RED (one darker red). And the F50's came in 5 colors (Red, Yellow, Black, Silver, one more I can't recall). Altho I'm not sure I like the interior of this F40, looks too civilized (for such a beast). -Ben PS. Have seen (in pics) repainted F40 in Yellow and Black. |

Hmmmmmm........are we sure that the pic of the interior is in fact an F40? Isn't it possible that they attached the wrong interior pic on the Talacrest website. Might as well state the obvious, even if its wrong ;) |

Thanks guys for not bashing me. I agree with Scott and Tim on the seats. They look a lot like '84-'91 TR seats in that they are identical to mine. Joe |

OK, I looked at the Talacrest website and agree it is not a kit car. I saw some of the trim pieces and they did not match the original car pictures I compared. However, after seeing the motor, I have to admit that I am wrong. I hate being human! Forgive me, Joe

That's no kit car. The Talacrest site shows the engine and says that it is one of 7 built by Pininfarina. 249,999 GBP, about $375,000? Quite unusual. |

Even weirder is the Grigio Grey exterior... Did this come that way out of the factory? or is this an aftermarket conversion?? |

Have never seen a F40 with upholstery on the doors...normally just exposed carbon fibre....weird. |
