Jay,

Sure, I'm interested. What a great idea...bring my laptop to the garage and load the CD. Let me know where I can download...or get a CD for my '81 308 GTSi. THX.

I have GT4, 308,328 and Mondial 8 manuals in Acrobat format on CD. Email me for details if anyone is interested. It has helped me out in my restoration of the GT4 tremedously. You don't get the originals damaged or dirty.

There are many sources for both original and reprinted owners/service/parts manuals, especially for the 308. Some sources are:

ferrariliterature
maranelloliterature
italiancarparts

Just to name a few. I've personally ordered original manuals & pouch from Ferrariliterature, as well as reprinted parts manual from Italiancarparts. Like you, the only manual that came with the car when I bought it was a factory maintenance manual (w/ 3-ring binder).

Be forwarned, however: these manuals / pouches can get very expensive! If you're registered with the Owners.Ferrari site, you can download the owners manual for your car for free. Another free source would be ferrari shrine. Hope this helps.

Kurt,

I have an '81 308 Si. Turning into a DIYer, but want to know what the best manual I should obtain. I do not have original manuals (Go figure). THX.

Thanks Kurt. I am asking this question because I am considering both U.S. and Euro spec carb 308s - I would like a '77 GTB - and I just want to make sure that if I do in fact purchase a Euro car, I can get complete and accurate documentation. Why did Ferrari fail to make a manual for 308s in their own continent?

Thank You,
Anthony

Anthony,

Ferrari never made a workshop manual specific to the EURO 308 cars, you have to use the 308GT4 manual, unless you have a FI car, of which case you would use the Mondial 8 shop manual.
There are some wiring schematics for the EURO 308, but these are from 1981 & up, nothing available for the earlier cars.
Parts manuals are available from 1976 up to the 1985 models.

Let us know the year of your car & if it's a UK market or continental spec (RHD - LHD) & i will send a list of everything thats available for your vehicle.

Kurt.
