Reminds of the guy who wrote a letter in this month's Forza about his 65 year old mother recently buying a '67 330 GT 2+2. |

I don't know whether you get Caterhams in the US. There's a link here http://www.lotus7club.co.uk/ The reason you need to see these cars is to appreciate my wife's grandmother, who's 87, coming for a ride in mine. It's about 3ft off the ground, looks like an aluminium bathtub and has no doors. You climb over the frame and slide into the tub. She came out with me. And it rained like hell, the back end was all over the place and you could not take the smile off her face if you tried. I haven't got a photo- I was busy at the time. She's usually the first member of the family to get a ride in a new car. She's been in the Ferraris, but they are hugely civilised compared to the Caterhams. She's very, very cool. |

WOW - I love it! Grandma-Dynamite!!!! Yes - that will be me in 60 years (thanks William!) Years ago - at one Viper event, there was a women in her 70s that drove across the country to attend - she got a standing ovation at the banquet. I tried to track her down recently but she had passed on.....to bad...she was an inspiration! Dr, T - Can I use that pix? I think it'd be a great addition to racerchicks.com |

All right ! My granny is 83 and she likes the Ferrari as well. I picked her up in my 308 a few years back and took her shopping. A true crowd stopper. Especially in her little twon in Germany. Absolutely cool! |
