i've seen tiff with the F1 on video but never jeremy-

basically clarkson wrote a couple of paragraphs per car- he never got a chance to test the f50 as it arrived a day late or something- in the video with the f50 however he says- its just no great shakes- as it slower than the mclaren- wasn't all that innovative- and had a fairly bland interior- basically - its a great car- but for 500k it needed to do something to distance itself

regarding his comments on the F1 in the Top Gear article- he basically said the Mclaren- was analagous to his 7th grade english teacher- his mentor- a man he had incredible respect and admiration for- however not a person he would want to go out on the town with or hang out with on weekends. Basicall the F1 was a very impressive car- it was just that it lacked fun-

on top of this little snipet within the worlds fastest cars issue - he recently left the mclaren off of his top 100 cars -in top gears last 100 issues list- not sure why- but I think he just enjoys playing devils advocate- given everyone else loves the car so much

however he does own a 355- which he loves more than anything

Just for fun I called and requested information on the Bugatti EB110 from Dauer. There are going to be six made total, and there are two for sale a silver one $480,000 and a black one $490,000 looks sweet, but those are tall dollars. I also asked about warranty one year. Service they fly there Mechanic out to do the service. Some of there customers the Sultan, of course, and Bill Gates.

I thought clarkson liked the F1. In all the video clips i've seen him in with it he liked it. He didnt like the F50 though from what i recall.

I love the EB110- not a lot of press on them-
and apparently there sales figures were pretty weak

its too bad- 12 cylender- 4 turbos
and a pretty comfortable and luxurious interior

any of you guys read Top Gear-
about 3 yrs ago they did a super car test- the greatest automotive piece i've ever read-jeremy clarkson worte it
-in any case- they had like 10 cars- lambo diablo
and F40 , a Mclaren F1, a few others as well- and of course and Eb110 - standard kit not the SS

in any case- he really wasn't a big fan of the Mclaren- Top Gear never has been

he liked the f40 saying it was the most fun

but overall thought the Eb110 was the best- Clarkson is like 6'3" but still found it comfortable as well as incredibly fast - and it didn't feel overwhelming- like for example a diablo
-but they never caught on

in any case- Dauer bought the remaining tubs and engines when they close the bugatti plant
and built a whole bunch of eb110's- that are even faster then the originals

can't wait for bugatti to get back up and running

Thanks guys - I've read lots about the Bugatti 110, but am curious about the Dauer - at that price can't stretch to one, just like to know more.

Anyone know if Dauer has a website?

Robert,

Try here: http://www.eb110.com/eb/engindex.html There are several pages connected to this page about spec's, photo's etc. It says there was only 139 original EB110 made.

somebody mentioned it on the thread i started about the 550 at le mans. apparently it can go 400kph.....pretty cool. the only probelm being that when you break down there is nobody on earth who can fix it, with the parts that you can't get.

I saw an article on this over someone's shoulder on the train in to work yesterday. Far as I could make out it is an improved Bugatti EB110 made by Dauer(?) who if I remember right used to build Porsche 962's as road cars!

Anyone know anything about this car or any web information source on it?
