I have seen this several times as well. They play it several times over the course of a week or two, take it off the air for several months, and then play it agian. I taped the 12 AM showing last night for my Dad who does not have Speedvision.

Go to www.speedvision.com for a TV schedule.

Later,
Jerrett

Craig, yes, I was disappointed about that comment as well. Only thing I can think of is that mid engined cars are too race breed for the street. Although, I don't think they're too much for me and he's a 100 times better driver than I am.

I've watched it three times over the last several months. I'm sure it will be on many more times. He starts out with the 166MM and ends up driving away with the 275GTB/4. The track shots and sounds are spectacular when he takes the 333 out for a spin.... It's especially interesting when he is correcting at one corner (with guardrail on the outside) with those million dollar cars!! The only comment he makes that I didn't understand is about him "not liking mid-engined cars for the street", as he makes his decision to drive off in the 275GTB/4.

Wait a second...is this that episode where Alain talks about the car and then..."oh, lets take it for a bit of a spin shall we?" And then blasts off around that beautiful race track? He does it with another famous race driver as well? I've seen that show before. Awesome! I loved that show!

That is the best show. I don't get Speedvision so a friend lent me a tape that he made of it. I can't tell you how many times I've watched it. I probably should give it back to him some day...Nah!

My wife and I met Alain DeCadenet at Laguna Seca last summer and we told him how much we enjoyed that show. He told us that they had originally used music under the driving footage. Alain said it sounded like a porno movie. When they took the music out, the show just came alive. Great decision. There is some fantastic in-car footage of the 312 blasting around a track. We asked him where that was shot and he said it was on Pierre Bardinon's private track, which is in the south of France (I believe). How would you like to have a back yard like that?

Hey, what do ya know, I still don't get Speedvision, those bastards. They're killin me. Everytime you guys talk about the beautiful creations of Maranello on a certain channel that they don't have in the most densely populated Ferrari area in the US (if not the world, excluding Maranello), go figure why they don't, but back to my thought, you guys are twisting a knife in my side. Oh, I'll get speedvision if it's the last thing I do. I need to move soon so that I can get the old man to put in satellite TV.

Has anyone seen "Rendezvous"?
Some guy attached a camera to his Daytona and took a drive through Paris early one morning. Pretty amazing footage, even though the video quality is not so great.
Inspiring, especially on a big screen with the volume cranked up.

When was it on and when will it repeat? I remember watching another episode of "Victory by Design" (at least I think it was that series) but on Pinninfarina, a great episode, even mentioned some of the Abarth record cars that they built!

Have you seen the "Victory by Design: The Ferrari Story" on Speedvision yet? Oh my gosh, this may be the best Ferrari film ever. I need to tape it next time. Up close, technical details, sounds, and in car shots with several Ferraris. Including the 250 GTO, 250 TR, 250 SWB, 275 GTB, P3, 312, 250 LM, and 333. Take me to heaven now.
