I concour with Lou. Although John Tirrel has never serviced my car (live too far away) I buy all me pads, rotors, and other stuff from him. He gave me a gret deal on a Tubi GT racing exhaust for my Challenge car and was extrememly helpful.

Give him a call, it's worth your time.

Theo, just some friendly advice, you are better off having a ppi at a shop that dosen't sell cars as then you will get a totally unbiased opinion.

Try Independent Ferrari Service in South Easton Mass (exit 17b of Rt 24). I have had John Tirrell service my 328 for over 10 years and almost 60000 miles. He also did a PPI for me at FNE when I was looking for my 512TR. 508 238 4224

Theo,

When i was there all i saw was the one in the showroom (red/tan). Looked nice, a little too high price but it does come with fresh service and some warranty as i recall so that makes up for the price. Was a very clean vehicle!

If you go, say hello to Sam for me. Thanks.

Doody - Thanks for the references. I'll give them a call and email you if I need advise (which I need a lot of)!

Steven - No that was not me. I have not yet been to FNE. I will shortly! By the way, what did you guys talk about of the 328s? Anything I should know. I may call them (FNE) about their 2 328s.

Theo,

Were you the gentleman in the FNE store about two weeks ago looking at their 328 in the showroom? If so, i was the customer talking to you about it and the reliability as i test drove the black Maserati Coupe. Just wondering.

Theo:

There are three primary outlets here:

* Ferrari of New England, as you point out. They are good people and would certainly do a PPI for you. I would not hesitate to purchase from them.

* Boston Sportscar is where I have my car serviced. They are stellarly stupendous folks (really). http://www.bostonsportscar.com/

* Independent Ferrari Service in Southeastern MA is very well respected, though I've had not dealings with them.

Feel free to email me as well if I can be useful. Happy to help!

And good luck!

Doody.

Hi everyone,

I'm a new member to FChat (great site Rob!) and this is my first post. I am currently looking at purchasing my first FCar, a 328 from a private individual in MA. I want to have a PPI done but do not have (or know) a reputable independent Ferrari mechanic. Any suggestions or recommendations?

My alternative would be to ask Ferrari of New England to do it. Would they do a PPI on a FCAR they did not sell? They also have 2 328s in their inventory.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be extemely appreciated!

Thanks,

Theo
