Donny, I was told by someone in our car club that you can get a copy of the buildsheets for your car from the factory. But they aren't real cheap. About US$400, I'm led to believe. You may also want to check out the Ferrari owners website. They may be able to give information on your car as well.

It is an 84 QV, so I guess, from Stephen's reply, it could be original.

Does anyone know if Ferrari can be contacted to list build specs of the car from the VIN?

Thanks

It probably was added. However it was possible to order a Ferrari with some unlisted options if you were willing to wait and pay.

What year is your 308 Donny?
Here are the factory options per model as listed in 'Original Ferrari V8' by Keith Bluemel.

308GTB/S, 308GTBi/Si & 208 GTB/S:
AC, Metallic Paint, Wide Wheels, Deep Front Spoiler, Fog Lights, Pirelli P7 w/ 16" QV Wheels, Boxer Paint Finish

308 QV & 208 Turbo:
AC, Metallic Paint, Deep Front Spoiler, Fog Lights, Pirelli P7 w/ 16" QV Wheels, Rear Airfoil

Hope this helps.

It may not have actually been an option but simply installed by Ferrari at the factory for one reason or another. My US 84 308 has one factory installed. I am not aware that it was an option then either. I don't really care much for it. I have the smaller US version in storage. I am going to swap it one day.

Aside from rim width, a/c and colours were the only options. Im not sure about the spoiler but Im leaning towards non original. Rim width is even questionable, it was just something I read somewhere but have never seen it.

My car is a US version 308, however it has a Euro front air dam. Is there any way to tell if the car came with this or was it added by the previous owner? Was it even possible to order a US car with this option? The reason I am questioning it is because the air dam needs to be repainted, but if it isn't original this might be a good time to replace it.

What were the other available options for the 308s?
