LOL, BobD! Yeah, it does suck pretty good in the winter here!

NB: Exotic Car Transport is not the most "subtle" transport company out there. Certainly no the "low profile" option, and depending upon where you're going to be in Alabama, imports aren't well-loved.

I would ship it on a regular truck. all the others are enclosed and cost a fortune. I am paying from LA to Miami for the Spider enclosed $ 1450.00. Which is a okay price for the enclosed trailer but for a S4, just ship it on a regular truck.

The 3 that we use most often are:

1. Exotic Car Transport: 800.766.8797
2. VIP Transport: 888.428.5847
3. Intercity Lines: 800.221.3936

All are great to deal with.

Try Majestic Transport. They are based in Oregon and do west coast pickups all the time. Gordon knows his stuff, and hauls for a lot of west coast people. ( He is very reasonable and enclosed )
Call Fantacy Junction in San Francisco. They would probably have his number.

Hey Doody, the only thing I can think of that's worse than an Alabama summer is a Massachusetts winter! Your 3 weeks of summer begins in about a month, doesn't it? Your trees should be budding pretty soon now that it's almost July... has the snow melted from last September yet?
:-)

Chris, I've used Peterson Transport (enclosed) out of Woodland Hills, CA.... they did a great job (if they're still around???). Ogner set it up for me.... you might check and see who the local dealers use out there.

Good luck!

I used Passport Transport from N.J. to So. Fla. They are owned by Fed-ex and they were meticulous. Very good experience.

Alabama in the dead of summer. Yum!

You are a brave soul! Good luck.

Sorry, no suggestions on transport for that trip. This was an entirely pointless post, except that I've "enjoyed" Alabama in July and that's an experience I need to "enjoy" only once :-)

Doody.

Hi Guys,

We're heading from LA to Alabama on location for a film in the next month or two. A friend on the show wants to ship his Audi S4 out. I know this has come up on the boards before so I just wanted to get any suggestions and input you might have.

Thanks in advance,
~Chris
