Parker, I have quite a few Ferrari videos and if you are looking for a knock your socks off video, I recommend you to get "The Red Road Gods" The video is about 1hr:45mins or so..It covers most of the Ferraris that we know and love. I watch that one over and over.. I was looking to order "The Ferrari Experience", but didn't know if it was a good one.. From what you say I will most likely get it now.... Thanks Anyone else out there with good exotic car video recommendations. |

Well, I recently received the video The Ferrari Experience as a present and I thought I would write about what it is like. I hope there isnt another thread about this video. I did look and was unable to find one, but I apologize in advance if this topic has already been covered. The video can be purchased from places like Speedgear and Exoticar in VHS format only (no DVD unfortunately) for about $20 and it is 60 minutes long. When I first got it I looked at the box it comes in and it seemed as though some kid with a poor quality scanner and printer had put it together. The pictures on the back are all fuzzy and look like crap, but I guess nobody buys it for the box anyway. After sitting back with a beer I pressed play and looked forward to watching an hour long video all about Ferrari. I was actually impressed with the video and would recommend it to any die-hard Ferrari fan. It is basically what I would call good home movie quality and it shows several different types of Ferraris as they race along city streets. Most of the shots are taken from the back of some convertible and some are taken from inside each car. The cars featured include a black 360 Coupe racing through tunnels, a titanium 550 Maranello driving along a costal road, a red F40 driving around the owners neighborhood (this car does get pulled over by a cop and it is funny to see how far the cop has to bend over to talk to the driver), and a red F50 driving along the LA freeways. There are also sections taken from the Symbolic dealership, a Ferrari restoration shop, an auto show section that features the 360 Spider, and a Ferrari race day with lots of 360 coupes, 360 and 355 challenge cars, a 456, a couple 550s, and some vintage cars. The music that goes along the video is kind of stupid and the commentary is really cheesy, but the cars look and sound incredible. Like I said, I definitely would recommend this to any die-hard Ferrari fan, but just dont expect a Hollywood quality video.
