The hotels Tenney mentioned are all top rate, and all located right where you will want to be. BTW, don't buy too much, or you'll have to strap on the roof rack! What day are you coming? There are a number of events coming up, and it will be worth your time to avoid them, traffic and crowd wise.

park it in the street. That is what I do and never had to worry. Well I admit, I always worry, but more when the valet has the key than when I am at the meter.

Hotel-wise - Ritz-Carlton (Water Tower), Four Seasons (Bloomingdales), Park Hyatt or The Drake should treat you right.

I'll take care of your car for the day and I promise to return it in the same condition. (albeit a few more miles on the clock!)

Jack, We have little ones so we were just going to go up for the day, but now that I think about it making a reservation at one of the hotels makes good sense. Thanks for the advice, any hotel recomendations?

As Jack stated, the Mich Ave. hotels should be able to keep an eye on your car. Additionally, Newberry Plaza @ 1030 N. State (Oak & State about a block off Michigan) is fairly good. Pretty sure you can still self-park @ the Bloomingdales bldg. and the Hancock. If you're just in for the day and/or are valet averse, this may be worth considering. If the stores lack action, a trip north up Lake Shore Drive/Sheridan Rd might be fun.

Robert, I live in Chicago. Are you spending the night? If so, most of the downtown hotels can take very good care of your car. I assume since you're going shopping that you'll be on Michigan Avenue. One advantage is that people are used to dealing with nice cars. Let me know where you're going to be, and I will try to scout out something more specific for you.

My wife and I want to take a trip from Indy to Chicago to go shopping. We want to take the F Car, but where would I park?
